Another notable name making it through was Christopher Park. Park finished seventh in the APT Super High Roller yesterday, a result that would have felt disappointing despite banking over $50,000, given he entered the final table with a commanding chip lead. Park will be aiming to reach another final table here at the APT Taipei series when play resumes on Saturday, May 3.

They both feature a slightly different structure to todays proceedings, as there will be six turbo 30-minute levels, followed by four 45-minute levels. These will be the last chance players have to accumulate a big stack to take into Day 2, which takes place on Wednesday, April 30 at 11:15am. However, late registration remains open until the start of Day 2, so anyone wanting to jump in at the last minute will have the opportunity to do so.
