Split Pot for Li and Dela Cruz

Level 8: 500 / 1,000 ante: 1,000

Gedong Li opened to 2,000 under the gun and found a caller in Ricardas Lukauskas from the cutoff. However, Mark Dela Cruz had other plans, three-betting to 7,000 from the big blind.

Not backing down, Li responded with a four-bet to 17,000, forcing Lukauskas to fold. Dela Cruz moved all-in, and Li, at risk, snap-called, only for both players to reveal the exact same hand.

Gidong Li: A K

Mark Dela Cruz: A K

With no drama left, the dealer completed the 9 7 3 6 2 board, and the pot was chopped between the two players. Lukauskas, however, couldn’t help but feel a tinge of regret, believing he had missed out on a chance to scoop a massive pot.

Soontanont Eliminated by Lee

Level 5: 200 / 500 ante: 500

Gedong Li opened to 1,000 and was three-bet by Jimin Lee on the button to 3,500. Nattawat Soontanont decided to four-bet jam for his tournament life out of the small blind. The initial raiser Li folded, while Lee called.

Nattawat Soontanont: J J

Jimin Lee: A A

Soontanont prayed he could crack Lee’s aces as he nervously waited for the deal. Flop came down 7 4 6 with no jacks to upset Lee’s lead. The 9 turn and 5 river dashed Soontanont’s hopes to stay in the tournament. Soontanont left the table as Lee scooped the pot.
