The turn 3♠ didn’t help Chang, and when the river came 8♠ , The Naing’s set of eights sealed Chang’s fate, eliminating him from the tournament.

Phuong Nguyen Tan opened with 1,020,000 of his chips to the center of the felt leaving behind one 5,000-chip under-the-gun. Action got folded to the big blind Nevan Chang who, after checking his cards, made the call.

A♠ Tan only had 5,000 behind, Chang announced a blind all-in. The dealer flopped A♠ 2♥ 6♥ to which Tan goes, "I think you have a draw," then threw in his last chip in the pot.

Tan hit a pair of aces on the board leaving Chang to hope that his hand improves. The turn T♦ solidified Tan's lead and with the river K♠ Tan doubled up at the expense of Chang.

The action picked up on the turn with The Naing betting 275,000—25,000 more than the pot—on a board of 8♣ 6♦ T♣ 8♠ . Nevan Chang made the call.

On the river K♠ , The Naing used a time bank card before deciding to bet 300,000. With 1,200,000 behind, Chang took his time, ultimately using two time bank cards before shoving all-in. After some consideration, The Naing folded, surrendering the hand.

The Naing opened from middle-position and Nevan Chang two seats over, three-bet to 150,000. Phuong Tan, who has been a joy to watch due to his entertaining character, wasted no time and moved all-in for around 2,000,000. Chang made the call, and his tournament life was at risk.

After Chang checked, Blaschke continued with a 150,000 bet, which Chang called. The turn came 2♠ , and Chang checked again, prompting Blaschke to apply more pressure with a 175,000 bet. With 750,000 behind and the final table bubble close, Chang went into the tank before ultimately deciding to fold.

Naing maintained his momentum through the final level, capping off Day 1 perfectly by scooping a pot against Van Dong with turned trip queens, shortly after eliminating Dylan Foster with ace-queen.

The second-highest stack belongs to Denmark’s Martin Godsk Stausholm, the 2019 APT Manila High Roller Single Day champion, who surpassed the three-million milestone in total live earnings, accumulated impressive 2,340,000 chips to start Day 2.

Other notable players advancing to the Final Day include Mikael Andersson (920,000), Julian Warhurst (875,000), 2023 APT Incheon High Roller 8-Max champion Thanisorn Saelor (800,000), and Nevan Chang (245,000).

Dong's good run in the last couple of levels continues. Especially against Chang, he seems to win every pot tonight. On K♥ J♦ 9♠ Dong put out a continuation bet, which Chang called. Dong put out a more hefty bet on the 2♣ turn and Chang had to fold his hand.

In reverse roles, Chang opened and Dong defended his big-blind. On Q♦ 8♠ 5♠ A♥ Q♣ it got checked all the way through to the river where Dong led out for 53,000. Chang called but had once again concede the pot to Dong after the Australian tabled Q♥ J♥ .

Nevan Chang raised to 20,000 from under the gun and Kyosuke Nagami defended from the big blind.

Both saw a flop fill out K♦ 8♦ 5♥ , and Nagami checked the action to Chang, who bet 25,000, which Nagami put in a raise to 60,000. However, this didn’t deter Chang from making a three-bet to 125,000 after a long time. Nagami dropped in a call.

The T♣ fell on the turn, where Nagami checked over, and Chang fired out 250,000. Nagami then shoved all in and got snap-called by Chang.

Nagami flopped a pair of eights but he didn’t expect a flopped set of fives from Chang, who picked up the lead. Soon, the dealer delivered the bricky 4♥ on the river, announcing the elimination of Nagami.

A 2♠ dropped on the river, where Ooi bet 25,000. This was enough to force his opponent to muck the hand.

The action picked up on the flop of 9♦ 2♣ 2♥ with 33,000 chips in the middle when Nevan Chang checked the action to Phanlert Sukoknthachrtnanat from under the gun, who bet 6,000. Chang dropped in a call.

An A♥ came on the river, where Chang kept his strategy and checked before Sukonthachartnanat fired out 31,000, which was enough to make his opponent fold.

Nevan Chang who has had a tough day so far, just managed to get a double-up. Chanpanya Saifah opened from early-position and only Nevan Chang in the big-blind called. Saifah continued with a 4,000 bet on T♥ T♦ 9♥ and Chang raised to 13,000. Saifah called and the players saw a 9♣ on the turn. Chang bet again 13,000 and Saifah called.

The river was the 5♦ and Chang jammed his remaining 41,000 all-in. After a few seconds of consideration time, Saifah decided his hand was too strong and the odds were too good to fold.

Nevan Chang opened the cutoff to 5,500, and Phanlert Sukonthachartnant three-bet to 16,500 on the button. Chang made the call.

Both saw a flop roll off 5♥ 2♦ 8♠ , and Chang check-called after Sukonthachartnant bet 15,000. The turn showed 4♣ , and the action went check-check.

The 6♠ dropped on the river, where Chang bet 78,000 after thinking a long time, and Sukonthachartnant called. Chang tabled A♦ T♥ for ace-high, but it was no match for a flopped pair of fives with Sukonthachartnant’s A♥ 5♣ .

Nevan Chang raised to 4,500 from under the gun and received two callers, Milos Skrbic on the button and The Naing from the big blind.

Stausholm picked up the lead with pocket nines, and Chang was looking to a five to stay alive. Unfortunately for Chang, the dealer swiftly delivered the runout of J♠ 3♠ , sealing the deal for Chang’s elimination.

Nevan Chang opened the button to 3,500, and Thanisorn Saelor three-bet to 15,000 from the small blind. Chang made the call.

On the flop of 8♥ Q♥ 8♦ , both checked through to see an 8♣ come on the turn, where Saelor bet 20,000 and Chang called.

The river brought the last eight 8♠ , and Saelor shoved all in for 133,000, sending Chang into the tank. Ultimately, Chang mucked his hand, leaving himself crippled with last 73,000 chips.

Martin Stausholm bet 2,000 from under the gun, and Nevan Chang three-bet to 7,000 from the cutoff, which didn’t deter Stausholm from making a four-bet to 17,000. Chang made the call.

On a flop of 4♣ 9♥ Q♥ , Stausholm fired 15,000 and Chang called to see the 5♣ deliver on the turn, where Stausholm fired 75,000, sending Chang into the tank. After around 1 minute, Chang dropped in a call.

The 8♠ landed on the river, and Stausholm shoved all in for around 211,000. Chang ultimately threw his cards back to the dealer after a long time.
