Action was picked up on the flop 2♦ Q♥ T♦ with Win Meng Tan, in the big blind, betting 400,000 into the pot to be raised by Martin Stausholm, on the button, to 900,000. Phuong Nguyen Tan, who was still in the hand i small blind got out of the way for Win Meng Tan to shove all-in. Stausholm called.

Martin Stausholm opened the middle position for 160,000 and when the action was folded to Motoyoshi Okamura, he shoved all-in for 735,000 risking his tournament life. Stausholm, with a huge stack in front of him, didn't hesitate to call.

The dealer flopped A♠ K♦ 2♣ giving Stausholm hitting the board but not beating Okamura's Kings. The turn Q♣ evoked an audible reaction from the table as this gave Stausholm a gutshot straight draw for an upset. Okamura was hoping that his kings held but the river T♥ completed Stausholm's straight pushing Okamura out of the tournament and in such a painful fashion.

Everyone checked the flop of A♣ A♦ 4♠ , with Tan remarking his famous "Uh-oh." The turn A♥ saw Okamura bet 175,000, which was called by Warhurst, while Stausholm and Tan folded.

The river came 6♣ , and Okamura checked. Warhurst seized the opportunity to shove all-in for 1,700,000. After some thought, Okamura folded, and Warhurst took down the pot.

The Naing opened for 120,000 from late position, only to be re-raised to 390,000 by Martin Stausholm in the hijack. After checking how much Stausholm had behind, The Naing announced all-in, and Stausholm snap-called.

The flop came T♥ 2♦ 5♣ , giving The Naing a pair of tens, but still trailing Stausholm’s queens. The turn 4♦ and river 5♠ brought no help for The Naing, and Stausholm's lead held, doubling him up and leaving The Naing's stack significantly reduced.

Martin Stausholm opened for 100,000 and received a call from Manuel Blaschke in the big blind. The flop brought 2♥ J♥ 6♥ , and after Blaschke checked, Stausholm continued with a bet of 60,000. Blaschke responded with a raise to 190,000, which Stausholm called.

Both players checked the turn 7♥ . On the river T♦ , Blaschke led out for 170,000, but Stausholm responded by pushing 700,000 chips forward, leaving himself a few behind. Blaschke quickly folded and stood up as the break began.

Julian Warhurst raised to 80,000 from the cutoff but faced a three-bet from Martin Stausholm to 260,000. Refusing to be pushed out of the pot, Warhurst moved all-in for 900,000, putting himself at risk, and received an instant call from Stausholm.

Naing maintained his momentum through the final level, capping off Day 1 perfectly by scooping a pot against Van Dong with turned trip queens, shortly after eliminating Dylan Foster with ace-queen.

The second-highest stack belongs to Denmark’s Martin Godsk Stausholm, the 2019 APT Manila High Roller Single Day champion, who surpassed the three-million milestone in total live earnings, accumulated impressive 2,340,000 chips to start Day 2.

We caught the hand on the river where in a blind versus blind situation between the two Scandinavians Mikael Andersson bet 245,000 into a pot of 325,000 on J♦ T♦ 9♦ 6♦ 8♦ . After using one time bank, Martin Stausholm in the small-blind decided to call. Andersson tabled Q♦ T♣ for a straight flush. That's a great way to end day 1 for him.

Motoyoshi Okamura opened the hijack to 40,000 and received two callers, Martin Stausholm from the small blind and Mikael Andersson from the big blind.

Three players read a flop of 7♥ 3♥ J♠ , where Stausholm and Andersson checked the action to Okamura, who bet 55,000. Only Andersson dropped in a call.

The 3♠ landed on the turn, and the action went check-check. The river carried out the 7♦ , where Andersson changed his strategy and bet 175,000. Okamura snap-folded.

Chen flipped a flopped pair of kings with K♦ 3♦ , but it still couldn’t best a flopped of pair of aces from Stausholm’s A♥ 7♥ , which earned Stausholm the sizable pot.

Both saw a flop of 6♣ 6♠ 8♥ , and Stausholm bet 2,500, which Chang put in a raise to 8,000. Stausholm however made a four-bet to 16,000 only to be jammed by Chang. Stausholm called to put his opponent at risk.

Stausholm picked up the lead with pocket nines, and Chang was looking to a five to stay alive. Unfortunately for Chang, the dealer swiftly delivered the runout of J♠ 3♠ , sealing the deal for Chang’s elimination.

A flop rolled off 5♥ 2♥ 3♣ , bringing flush possibilities and both players checked through to see the 6♦ fall on the turn, where Ahjuya checked the action to Stausholm, who then bet 2,500. Ahjuya mucked his hand.

Martin Stausholm bet 2,000 from under the gun, and Nevan Chang three-bet to 7,000 from the cutoff, which didn’t deter Stausholm from making a four-bet to 17,000. Chang made the call.

On a flop of 4♣ 9♥ Q♥ , Stausholm fired 15,000 and Chang called to see the 5♣ deliver on the turn, where Stausholm fired 75,000, sending Chang into the tank. After around 1 minute, Chang dropped in a call.

The 8♠ landed on the river, and Stausholm shoved all in for around 211,000. Chang ultimately threw his cards back to the dealer after a long time.

On the 5♦ A♦ A♠ flop, there were 7,500 chips in the middle when Thanisorn Saelor from the big blind and Anikit Ahjuya from the cutoff checked the action to Martin Stausholm on the button, who then bet 2,000. Only Ahjuya dropped in a call.

The 7♣ hit on the turn, where Ahjuya checked it to his opponent. Stausholm then bet 1,500, and Ahjuya stuck around.
