China's Shi Bei Chip Leads in Fourth and Final Opening Flight of APT Main Event

The fourth and final opening flight of the APT Main Event has wrapped up, with China’s Shi Bei topping the Flight D chip counts at 298,600 chips. This flight saw 135 entries (101 unique), with 64 players advancing to Day 2.
Pham Duy Anh trails closely behind Bei with a bagged stack of 220,000 chips, after consistently holding the chip lead until Bei surged ahead late in the day by besting new arrivals at his table. Former APT Super High Roller 8-Max Champion Thanisorn Saelor also earned his Day 2 seat with 178,200 chips, securing a spot in the top 10 for a shot at the massive VND 25,000,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Another former APT Super High Roller Champion, William Teoh, is advancing with a more challenging stack of 66,700 chips. Joining him in the uphill climb would be Thai TV host and former Main Event finalist Napat Chokejindachai (50,100) who has always been the bridesmaid but never the bride as far as APT final tables are concerned.
Meanwhile, Quang Huy Nguyen, currently ranked third on Vietnam's All-Time Money List, took a tough hit in the final six hands, losing a significant portion of his stack to Frenchman Francis Garson.
With all opening flights complete, the Main Event entries now total 753 (564 unique), though this number could still rise, as registration remains open until the start of Day 2. Currently, 292 players will advance to Day 2, with China's Jinlong Hu in the overall lead, holding a substantial 447,800 chips.

Hoang Binh Cripples Kosarev
We pick the action up on the turn where from the small-blind Hoang Binh bet 5,500 into a pot of 10,000 on A♦ 5♥ 4♠ 9♠ . Andrei Kosarev in middle-position made the call and the players saw the 8♠ arriving on the river. Hoang bet 10,000 and Kosarev, only having 12,500 behind, made the call.
And indeed, Hoang tabled 5♦ 5♣ for flopped trips. Kosarev showed A♥ 8♦ . Unlucky river for him, otherwise he might have gotten away from his hand.
