Daniel Neilson opened the hijack to 60,000 only to receive a three-bet to 180,000 from Jordan Westmoreland on the button. Neilson dropped in a call.

Both saw a flop of T♥ 8♦ Q♥ , and Neilson checked the action to Westmorland, who then fired out 125,000. However, this didn’t deter Neilson from shoving all in. After few seconds, Westmorland made the call to put his opponent at risk.

The two flopped a queen, and Westmorland picked up the lead with his ace. The dealer swiftly sent the unfortunate news for Neilson as the dry runout came 6♠ T♠ , showing Neilson out of the door.

William Teoh is the Day 1 chip leader of the PHP 600,000 (~USD $10,300) APT Super High Roller. The Malaysian won a massive pot against second-in chips John Matsuda late in Day 1, putting him in a great starting position for Day 2.

A total of 59 entries (42 unique) led to a total prize pool standing at a mouth-watering PHP 32,621,100 (~USD $545,560) and the eventual winner taking home a PHP 9,785,100 (~USD $166,350) top prize.

Teoh accumulated a total of 3,550,000 in chips over the sixteen 40-minute levels played. A fourth place in this tournament would mean a career-high score for him. He achieved his best score at the 2022 APT Manila Championship which he finished in second position for PHP 2,797,700.

Second in chips with 1,770,000 finished the New Zeeland professional Vincent Huang. Throughout the day he could be seen chipping up nicely, never losing any huge pots. Closely following him comes seasoned pro Paulius Plausinaitis with 1,390,000. Other notable names making it to Day 2 include Jordan Westmorland (1,245,000), Nevan Chang (1,070,000), Thomas Ward (1,030,000), and Daniel Neilson (765,000).

Out of the 12 remaining players, 8 will make it to the money, but all eyes will be on the glorious Lion Trophy. For sure, it will be an action packed day which can either be followed on the live blog or via the live stream.

Truong checked the action to Westmorland as the flop rolled off 5♣ Q♥ 4♥ , and Westmorland bet 35,000. Truong called.

Both checked through the 8♦ turn to see the J♥ land on the river, where Truong bet 50,000 and received a call from his opponent. Truong tabled a rivered pair of jacks with A♦ J♠ , making Westmorland muck his hand.

After Jordan Westmorland took most of Alexander Keating's chips a couple of levels earlier, did he just take the rest of his stack. John Matsuda opened from early-position and Westmorland three-bet from the button. Next to him, Keating jammed all-in for around 20 big blinds. Westmorland quickly called.

On the 4♣ 6♥ 2♦ flop, Truong bet 45,000 and Westmorland made the call to see the 2♣ turn, which both checked through.

A 9♥ dropped on the river, where Truong fired 180,000 and delivered the pressure to Westmorland. After a while, Westmorland mucked his hand.

Jordan Westmorland opened from middle-position and Alexander Keating next to him three-bet. Westmorland responded with a four-bet and Keating decided to jam all-in. "Okay, I am ready to run it" Westmorland said out loud and called.

The board brought Keating no help and Westmorland is sitting in a very comfortable position now.

The action was picked up on the turn with a board showing Q♥ 6♦ J♦ Q♦ , and there are around 90,000 chips in the pot when Jordan Westmorland from the big blind checked it to Alexander Keating from middle position. Keating also checked.

An A♥ landed on the river, and the action went check-check. At showdown, Keating flipped 7♣ 5♣ , which was no match for Westmorland’s two pair with K♦ 6♥ .

John Matsuda opened from early-position and Jordan Westmorland defended his big-blind. Both players elected to check the 9♦ 8♥ 5♣ flop. On the board pairing 8♠ on the turn Westmorland led out a pot size bet of 45,000. Matsuda called.

The river brought the T♥ and Westmorland polarized himself by jamming all-in for 175,000. After thinking it over for a bit, Matsuda eventually made the call.

Both saw a 6♦ come on the turn, and the action went check-check. The river brought the board-pairing K♠ , where Westmorland bet 60,000 and Mehdi stuck around.

Westmorland quickly tabled a rivered set with A♠ K♥ , making Mehdi forfeit the pot.
