With everyone folding to the small blind Gary Thompson, he limped in and got to see a flop cheap with big blind Andoni Sanchez checking. When the board ran A♥ 9♥ T♥ 2♥ 7♠ , Thompson check-called 60,000 and 80,000 then both checked the river. Thompson showed T♦ 2♠ two pair which was good to win the pot.

Alvin Jeff Sembrano joined the millionaire stackers after knocking out Keijiro Shimojo in 25th place. Action opened with Sembrano on the butting raising his 9♦ 7♦ , Shimojo defended on the big blind with Q♦ 8♥ .

At the flop 3♣ 8♣ 9♦ , Shimojo announced all in for 190,000, Sembrano snap-called. The turn 5♠ and river A♣ ended Shimojo as Sembrano shipped it.

Unlucky way to go for Kevin Mateo who was down to just 190,000 (7 bb) and put it all out front holding A♥ T♥ . Though he was ahead of Benjamin Martinez's K♠ Q♦ , the board running 6♣ 4♠ T♠ 7♠ 2♠ ended his bid, falling to Martinez's one card flush.

Holding Q♣ T♦ , Seiji Kikuoka open shoved from early position for 445,000 (17 bb). Everyone folded down the orbit until the big blind Youngtaek Lim who defended with K♠ Q♠ . With the board running J♣ Q♦ 2♦ K♦ 2♣ , that ended Kikuoka as Lim catapulted to the top of the counts.

Marko Puskadija and Gary Thompson built a pot of 180,000 before the river 9♠ 3♦ 2♦ Q♦ . When the river came 6♥ , Thompson bet 70,000, Puskadija raised to 180,000, Thompson paid to see then mucked to K♥ Q♥ .

The top two chip leaders are seated at the same table with Youngtaek Lim having position over Gary Thompson. Lim went on attack mode leading to three wins in one orbit. His last one was up against Thompson who called defended on the big blind.

When the board completed 4♠ T♥ 5♠ J♣ A♦ , Lim barreled down every street betting 35,000, 80,000, and 175,000. Thompson folded on the river.

Looking down at 7♠ 7♣, Marvin Cerbito open shoved 299,000 (15 bb) from cutoff. Two spots over Ryan Gebow was dealt 8♦ 8♥ and didn't hesitate to call. With the board running Q♣ 6♣ 8♠ 4♣ 6♥ , Gebow further improved to send Cerbito packing.

All in preflop with Hyun Jong Kim Q♦ Q♣ up against big stacked Francisco Mir Sanchez A♥ K♦ . The flop dropped an Ace and a King to end Kim's run in 39th place.

More chips for the leader Gary Thompson after sending Erique Tan to the rail. Tan was ahead with Ace-King against Thompson's Queen-Ten until a queen turned up at the flop and held.

Another action heavy preflop opened with a raise of 22,000 from Keijiro Shimojo, several spots down, cutoff player Kevin Mateo three-bet 62,000, then big blind Seokwon Jeong four-bet 140,000. Shimojo quickly got out of the way and Mateo called after using up a time-bank.

At the flop 4♣ K♣ Q♥ , Jeong continued for 60,000, Mateo shot back with a raise of 140,000, Jeong tanked then gave up his stake in the pot. Jeong said he had Ace-King, Mateo smirked and said he had pocket Kings... though we will never know.

Two short stacks went head to head with Takuya Makino holding 3♥ 3♠ and was flipping with John Ruiz A♥ 8♥ . When the flop ran 6♥ A♠ 2♠ , Ruiz was looking good for a double but sent to the rail instead as the board completed T♠ J♠ .

Day 1A leader Youngtaek Lim catapulted to the top of the counts after cleaning out Jinkwan Kim on a cooler. Both players entered with huge stacks that all went in on one hand. Lim had K♣ K♥ , Kim with A♠ K♠ . The board threw blanks 6♣ 4♣ 5♥ T♠ Q♣ .

Aditya Sushant took a hard fall with all of his chips going in on the flop 7♥ 4♥ 3♦ . He was up against Jiaxin Ye with Q♣ 4♣ . The turn 8♣ was good for Sushant but the river 4♠ was a shocking defeat, burning him into 89th place.

Table 18: Action folded to the blinds. Ruben Gavino limped only to be raised by Man Cheng Hoi to 18,000. Gavino three-bet to 55,000, Hoi tank-folded.

Table 19: On a board showing 4♦ Q♦ 9♥ 8♥ and 125,000 in the pot, two players were all in. Michael Bueza with J♥ J♠ and Jayden Zalac with K♥ K♠ . The river K♣ sealed the win for Zalac.

Welcome to Day 2 of the APPT National taking place at the stunning Cove Manila inside the world-renowned Okada Manila resort. Over the past two days, the first APPT shard event drew 600 entries across three flights to push the prize pool to ₱18,333,000 (~USD 323K).

Today, 90 players return to the felt, each eyeing their share of the pot, but the size of their slice will depend on how far they can go. The minimum payout is ₱55,000 and at the very top is a massive ₱3,340,000 awaiting the champion. The mission for the day? To battle through the field and narrow it down to the final 9 players.

Leading in the pack is Francisco Mir Sanchez who bagged 646,000 which is 107 big blinds, based on the 3000-6000 blinds. Players will have more wiggle room to choose hands and size up the competition with blinds increasing every 40 minutes.
