In a battle of the blinds, China’s Dong Lyu Lyu raises it to 4,000 from the SB but gets the door slammed in his face by Neeraj Gajria of India who 3-bets it to 42,000 and wins the pot.

China’s Yao Liu opens from the hijack for 3,000 only to get a 3-bet shove from last year’s APPT Main Event runner-up Kim Donghyup of Korea for 21,500.

Yao folds.

Amit Kaushik of India opens the action from the hijack and gets a call from fellow Indian Neeraj Gajria but then last year’s APPT Main Event runner-up Kim Donghyup of Korea 3-bets all-in and gets called by Kaushik, the initial raiser. Suddenly, Gajria also shoves and Kaushik calls as well. Gajria covers his opponents.

Kim turns over A♠ Q♠ while Kaushik is dominated with his A♥ J♥. Gajria is ahead with J♣ J♠ .

The runout goes: 2♠ 4♥ K♣ 5♣ 2♠ as the Jacks hold for Gajria and in the process eliminates two players as his stack now rises to 108,000.

Kim is now on his third bullet over at Table 15.

A couple of past APPT Cambodia titlists are already in the trenches with Canada’s Alexander Puchalski and 2023 champ Chao Ting Cheng of Taiwan slugging it out early.

Korea’s Donghyup Kim (the Main Event runner-up last November here) is also in action along with 2023 APPT Main Event king Yuanning Wu.

In all, 25 players comprise the early combatants in Day 1A.
