China's Wu Yuanning opens the action from UTG for 50,000 and gets called in the HJ by Justin Chu of Taiwan. But from the CO, Korea's Beum Chun Jun 3-bets to 175,000. Wu steps away but Chu makes the call.

The flop is Q♣ 9♣ 8♣ as both players check the monochrome board. The turn brings out the A♣ , completing a one card flush. Chu leads out for 150,000 and gets a call from his Korean opponent. The river is the J♣ completing the mono-textured board. Chu bets 250,000 as Beum goes into the tank and uses one Time Bank card in the process. The Korean then raises to 600,000. Chu decides to fold.

Wu Yuanning of China opens the action from the HJ for a raise of 50,000 and gets called by Filipino pro Christopher "Big Time" Mateo in the SB.

The flop goes J♦ Q♠ 2♠ as both players skip this street. The turn is the 9♣ as Mateo checks again. This time, Wu leads out for 70,000 to which the Filipino replies with a check-raise to 175,000. The Chinese player calls. The river is the 8♠. Mateo bets 300,000. Wu makes the call.

Mateo turns over K♦ T♦ for a straight on the turn. Wu mucks and is down to less than 20 BBs.

Former overall chip leader John Edward Perry of Australia has dropped all the way to eighth place in the first leaderboard update of the day. Fellow Australian Thomas Ward now occupies the top spot as he and Filipino pro Lester Edoc are the only ones breaching the two million chip mark at the moment.

Filipino pro Christopher "Big Time" Mateo opens the action from the +2 position for 40,000 and gets greeted with a 3-bet from China's Wu Yuanning in the SB for 160,000. Mateo then comes back with a 4-bet of his own for 300,000 forcing the Chinese player to go into the tank and in the process use two of his precious Time Bank cards. Ultimately, Wu chooses to fold.

Mateo flips over A♣ 6♥ .

The action is opened UTG by China's Wu Yuanning for 40,000 but then a re-raise comes from Korea's Seo Moon Ho from the HJ for 500,000. Suddenly, Mike Takayama of the Philippines calls for his remaining 230,000. Wu folds.

Takayam doubles up and Seo's stack falls below the 12 BB threshold.

The 28 players remaining will reconvene on Saturday (October 26) at 12NN (UCT+8) and will play down to the Final 6 players.

APPT National champion Chen Zhen of China opens from the HJ for 20,000 but Korea's Kim Kiyoung re-pops all-in from the D for 89,000. Another Chinese player in Wu Yuanning also shoves his remaining stack of 133,000. Chen covers both and decides to make the call.

Kim actually paired ten on the river but it was also the card that gave Wu the last piece of his runner-runner/gutshot Broadway. Kim, who was the chip leader at the conclusion of Flight B, has now been bounced from the tournament.

Filipino pro Christopher "Big Time" Mateo makes an early position raise to 20,000 and is re-raised by China's Wu Yuanning on the D to 65,000. Mateo opts to call.

The flop is 4♣ 7♦ 2♦ as Mateo open shoves from 164,000 to which the Chinese player makes a quick call.

Mateo hits his draw on the turn of the 4♦ and Wu is drawing dead. The river card of the 7♠ gives Mateo a much needed double up.

Wu Yuanning of China makes a UTG raise to 12,000 and the action gets folded to the D of Filipino ace Christopher "Big Time" Mateo who 3-bets to 32,000. Wu 4-bets to 75,000 and Mateo opts to just call.

The flop is 6♥ 4♠ 9♥ as Wu continues betting, this time for 58,000. Mateo calls. The turn is the A♠ and now Wu fires 120,000. The Filipino goes into the tank and uses one Time Bank card before deciding to fold.

Wu shows K♦ K♣ and dents Mateo for the moment.

Kim Kiyoung raised to 3,500 from under the gun and got called by hi-jack Yohwan Lim, small blind Yuanning Wu and big blind Mike Takayama. The four players were treated to a 8♠ Q♦ 9♦ flop. Action was checked to Kiyoung who fired a 5,500 c-bet. Yohwan Lim made the call along with Yuanning Wu to see a T♣ turn. All three checked to see the 4♠ on the river. Action was checked to Kiyoung who fired a modest 11,000 with only Wu as the lone caller. Kiyoung turned over 8♦ 8♣ for a set of eights. Wu mucked.

Yuanning Wu raised to 2,500 from under the gun and was raised to 7,500 by Kim Kiyoung at the hi-jack. Wu matched the bet to see a flop of 4♣ 6♠ 9♦. Wu check-called the 6,000 bet of Kiyoung to see a J♦ turn. Both players checked to get a free A♣ on the river. Wu checked and folded when Kiyoung bet out 25,000 into the pot.

Yuanning Wu made the 2,400 min-raise from under the gun and got called by Juyeol Lee at the button and Wai Kit Jason Lau at the big blind. The three players were shown a flop of 5♣ 2♣ 4♣. Action was checked to Wu who bet 2,200. Lee and Lau called to see an 8♦ turn. All players checked to reaech a 4♠ on the river. Lau bet out 22,200 with Yuanning the only one to call. Lau peeled over 4♥ 4♦ for quads. Yuanning just said "wow" and mucked.
