American Sanjeev Kapoor of the United States has the action folded to him on the D and raises to 10,000. Okada Kickoff titlist Czardy Rivera of the host nation chooses to defend his BB.

The cut-off folded. But then, Yu three-bet to 15,000. Kapoor stared down at his chips and made the call to see an A♥ on the turn. Kapoor checked and Yu counted out 50,000 to put in the middle. Kapoor gave up.

Hideyoshi Tanaka limped from under the gun, but eventually called the 4,500 raise from Kit Lai Chun along with cut-off Sanjeev Kapoor and big blind Thomas Ward. Four players were shown a flop of 9♥ K♥ T♦ . Action was checked to the raiser, and Chun obliged them with a 10,000 bet. All folded except for Thomas Ward at the big blind, who made the call to see a 3♥ turn. Both players checked to see the 9♦ river. Ward then check-called Chun's bet of 16,000. Chun showed A♣ Q♥ for an ace-high while Ward flashed K♦ 7♦ for pair of kings.

Despite the stormy weather, 166 poker hopefuls at Okada Manila still made the PHP 165,000 (~US$ 2,850) buy-in to participate in Flight B of the APPT Manila Champion, which is guaranteeing a prize pool of at least PHP 55,000,000 (~US$ 960,850). 112 survivors still remain and will play until the end of Level 11 where those still with chips get to bring them over for the Day 2 leg tomorrow.

Yan Li of China holds the biggest stack so far with 208,500 chips. Sanjeev Kapoor has the next big stack with 181,000 while Patrick Crivell rounds up the top three with 172,000.

Brett Bader raised to 700 from UTG and Emmanuel Derecho pumped it to 2,400 from two seats over and got Sanjeev Kapoor making the call from the hi-jack along with Bader. The three get peeled a flop of T♣ K♠ 6♠ and check it down to open a 3♠ on the turn. Bader then led out with 2,000 with Derecho surrendering. Kapoor made a three-bet to 6,500 and Bader took a moment to reflect before finally folding.
