Darren Yu raised to 1,300 with Jorge Duarte making the call from the small blind. HEdwards Lawford then pumped it to 4,500 from the big blind and got both Yu and Duarte to play. All three players were treated to a glop of 3♠ 7♥ 2♣ . Duarte checked the small blind and allowed Edwards Lawford to fire 5,500. Yu then shoved a three-bet to 15,000. Duarte got out of the way and Lawford pushed 48,000 all-in. Yu made the call with his last 42,800.

The stormy weather hasn't slowed down the action in Flight B of the APPT Manila Championship here at Okada Manila. So far, there have been 94 entries making the buy-in of PHP 165,000 (~US$ 2,850) to compete for the guaranteed prize pool of at least PHP 55,000,000 (~US$ 960,850). 85 players are still on their seats, hoping to advance to Day 2 tomorrow. Leading the Flight is Japan's Frd Aso Seitaro with a chip stack of 160,000. Not that far behind is Jian Hui Giam with 136,000 chips and Seonghun Jeong with 124,000.

Siddharth Karia raised to 700 with Anju Abrol calling from the small blind and Jorge Duarte defending the big blind. All three players are opened a flop of T♥ 3♥ 5♠ . Abrol check-called the 1,500 bet of Duarte while Karia stepped aside. A 5♦ showed on the turn and Abrol pushed 5,000 to take down the pot after Duarte failed to match the bet.

Patrick Walhquist made a huge raise to 2,000 from under the gun and got 3 callers to sweeten the pot. Chiming in were Sun Oh Hahm at the cutoff, Jorge Duarte at the small blind and Edwards Lawford at the big blind. All four players were treated to a flop of A♦ J♣ K♦. Duarte opened with 1,600 and was re-raised by Lawford to 7,800, causing everyone to step aside and award Lawford the healthy pot.

Junzhong Loo min-raised to 1,000 from UTG with Quang Huy Nguyen making the call from the button. Jorge Duarte, however, made a five-bet to 5,100 from the big blind and both players stuck around to see a flop of 2♠ 4♣ Q♣. Duarte c-bet with 3,500 with both Nguyen and Loo making the call to see an 8♣ on the turn. Duarte slowed down with a check and Loo fired out 7,500 with only Nguyen making the call to see a 6♥ on the river. Loo bet out 22,500 and Nguyen fired back with an all-in raise. Loo gave up the hand and awarded the huge pot to Nguyen.

Ronald Ashley Lane made it 600 from under the gun with Jorge Manzur Duarte defending the big blinds for both players to enter a flop of 6♣ 9♠ 3♠ . Both check to see a 9♥ turn. Duarte fires 900 and Lane makes the call to see a 9♦ river. Duarte leads the bet with 2,100 and calls the raise of Lane to 8,000. Lane shows A♠ T♠ while Duarte mucks his cards.
