Yan Li spiked one of his two outs to win the huge pot and eliminate Itsuki Morita.

Ashely De Guzman started the raise at 1,200 from UTG+2 then got re-popped by Itsuki Morita to 4,500 from the cut-off. Not to be outdone, Daniel Neilson raised it even more to 9,500 from the button. De Guzman stepped aside and Morita continued on to see a 2♠ A♥ 4♣ flop. Morita check-called the 2,100 bet of Neilson to see a 7♦ on the turn. Both players checked to see a 9♣ on the river. Morita bet 17,000, but folded when Neilson shoved all-in.

While a typhoon rages around Manila, the poker action at Okada Manila for Flight B of the APPT Manila Championship is also creating its own storm. 142 entries for Flight B have met the buy-in requirement of PHP 165,000 (~US$ 2,850) in order to compete for a share of the PHP 55,000,000 (~US$ 960,850) guaranteed prize pool. 108 players are still battling it out for a chance to advance to the Day 2 leg tomorrow.

Patrick Crivell sits with the biggest stack at 138,300 and is followed closely by Emmanuel Derecho with 138,000. Rounding up the top three is Marc Anthony Joseph with 136,500, but that's just a spit away for Seonghun Jeong with a near-identical 136,000.

So far, there have been 94 entries making the buy-in of PHP 165,000 (~US$ 2,850) to compete for the guaranteed prize pool of at least PHP 55,000,000 (~US$ 960,850). 85 players are still on their seats, hoping to advance to Day 2 tomorrow. Leading the Flight is Japan's Frd Aso Seitaro with a chip stack of 160,000. Not that far behind is Jian Hui Giam with 136,000 chips and Seonghun Jeong with 124,000.

Itsuki Morita three-bet to 800 from the hi-jack and called the 2,800 re-raise from Marc Anthony Joseph at the cutoff. Both players are given a flop of Q♠ J♦ K♠ . Morita check-raises Joseph's 1,500 bet to 4,800 with Joseph completing to see a 7♣ turn. Both players slow down with a check to see a 2♦ on the river. Morita checks then folds to Joseph's 7,500 shove.

Itsuki Morita 5-bet to 1,000 from under the fun with button Wayne Lau making the call along with Kenji Kuramochi at the small blind and Muhammed Ali Chandna from the big blind. The four players saw a flop of 3♠ 4♥ Q♥. All players checked to see a 9♦ on the turn. Chandna was given the option to act and fired out 2,300. Morita got out of the way, but Wayne Lau at the button raised to 5,300 with everyone else steering clear to give Lau the pot.
