Hand #54: Button Justin Chu A♥ 8♥ raises 160,000, Thomas Ward J♠ 9♠ defends his big blind. Both players check to the turn 9♠ 5♥ 2♦ A♣ . Chu bets 150,000 and ward calls. The river 8♠ has Chu firing 800,000, this time, Ward chooses to fold.

Hand #55: From utg, Justin Chu 6♦ 2♦ bumps it up to 160,000, big blind Jun Beum Chun J♥ T♣ calls. On the flop 8♥ 5♠ J♦ , Chu c-bets 125,000 then folds to Chun's check-raise of 350,000.

Hand #56: Utg Hieu Ngo A♣ 4♣ raises 175,000, Justin Chu with 9♥ 9♠ just flats. On the flop 3♠ 4♠ 7♦ , Chu check-calls 130,000 then on the turn 2♦ and river K♣ , Chu takes charge firing 275,000 and 375,000. Ngo folds to the river bet.

Hand #57: Utg Thomas Ward A♥ 8♦ raises then folds to button Jun Beum Chun's A♣ 5♥ three-bet of 420,000.

Hand #58: Utg Jun Beum Chun likes his 7♦ 5♦ and raises 160,000 only to fold to button Justin Chu's A♠ T♥ three-bet of 400,000.

Hand #59: Jun Beum Chun J♦ 8♣ defends his big blind by calling Justin Chu's A♠ 3♣ preflop raise. Chun opts to lead out 125,000 on the flop 6♦ 5♠ 7♣ and wins the pot with Chu folding.

Hand #13: Utg Hieu Ngo A♥ 4♥ raises 125,000, big blind Lester Edoc 7♦ 5♣ defends, flop runs 3♥ 2♦ 9♥ . Ngo fires 100,000, Edoc gives it up.

Hand #14: Folded to the small blind Lester Edoc Q♣ 6♣ who limps, big blind Hieu Ngo 9♦ 3♠ calls. Edoc bets 60,000 on the flop 2♠ 7♣ 5♦ and wins it without a fight.

Hand #15: Utg Jun Beum Chun A♠ A♦ raises and finds no callers.

Hand #16: Small blind Thomas Ward A♦ 3♥ limps and big blind Jun Beum Chun K♥ 8♣ checks. Both check to the river 3♦ 2♠ 7♣ 9♣ 2♥ . Ward checks again then folds to Chun's 60,000 bet.

Hand #1: Chi Jen Chu limps in, big blind Lester Edoc raises 175,000, Chu folds.

Hand #2: Big blind Hieu Ngo gets a walk.

Hand #3: Jun Beum Chun opens 100,000, blinds Hieu Ngo and Thomas Ward call. On the flop 3♦ A♠ A♥ , Chun c-bets 8000, only Ngo continues to the turn Q♣ then leads out 150,000. Chun tank-folds.

Here are the Final 6 of the inaugural APPT Championship and the action will conclude tomorrow (Sunday, October 27) still here at the Okada Manila.

Everyone at this point is guaranteed PhP2,360,000 (~US$40,430) and the eventual champion takes home PhP11,610,000 (~US$199,100).

The action is folded to the CO where Martin Gonzales of the Philippines has K♣ J♠ and decides to open shove for 680,000. Waiting on the D is Korea's Beum Chun Jun who makes the call with A♥ J♣.

While both did hit the Jack on the flop, nothing else came out that could have helped the Filipino.

The action is now paused for tomorrow (Sunday, October 27) for the official Final Table with six players remaining.

Hand #52: In what is perhaps the most pivotal hand in the Final 9, it starts with a raise from the +3 position from Li Xinjing of China to 100,000. Suddenly on the D, Australia's John Edward Perry 3-bets to 150,000, Martin Gonzales of the Philippines 4-bets to 450,000 and Taiwan's Justin Chu making a 5-bet all-in to 945,000.

Li folds but Perry calls all-in for his remaining 180,000. Gonzales covers everyone.

Perry managed to flop a gutshot and Gonzales got top pair, but no one improved on the last two community cards Chu scoops the pot and sends the competition into 8-handed play where everyone is now guaranteed PhP1,480,000 (~US$25,360).

With still nine players remaining, here is where everyone stands at as the blinds go up:

Hand #25: William Ysmael raises from UTG and get s Justin Chu of Taiwan and Korea's Beum Chun Jun to come along.

On the flop of 5♦ T♣ J♠ Beum checks and Ysmael CBets to 130,000. Chu folds but Beum with his open-ender buys one street. The turn is the 9♥ giving the Korean a pair. Beum checks. Ysmael unloads again for 275,000. Beum doesn't continue in the hand.

Ysmael is now trying to run the show.

Hand #7: William Ysmael of the Philippines gets A♥ Q♦ UTG and raises to 80,000 and gets three callers.

The flop is T♥ 9♣ 8♦ representing some form of straight draw for all of Ysmael's opponents in the hand. All check. The turn is the 9♦ and when it's checked b ack Ysmael, he bets 320,000. It's enough to get everyone chasing their draw to fold.

Hand #5: Taiwan's Justin Chu raises from the +1 position for 80,000 with Q♦ J♦ and it is folded to the D where chip leader Thomas Ward re-pops it to 320,000 with A♦ Q♠. Chun proceeds to 4-bet to 500,000 and the New Zealander decides to just call.

The flop is 4♥ 9♠ 3♠ which misses both hands. Both check. The turn is the 6♠ and both check anew. The river is the J♣ . Chu bets 400,000 but is raised all-in by Ward. Needing to go all in to call, Chu tanks and uses up a Time Bank card before folding his top pair.

Ward using his stack and ICM pressure to his advantage.

Here are the last nine players who are now all guaranteed PhP1,237,720 (~US$21,205). They will play down to the last six for the official final table that will commence tomorrow (Sunday, October 27).

The action gets folded to the D of Taiwan's Justin Chu who makes a raise to 60,000. Former chip leader John Edward Perry 3-bets it to 415,000 from the SB and gets a call from Beum Chun Jun in the BB. Chu folds.

The flop comes K♥ 6♦ A♥ as Perry checks. Beum puts the Australian all-in with a bet of 300,000. Perry chucks in his remaining 115,000 to make the call.

Beum shows T♦ T♥ while Perry tables K♣ Q♠ for second pair on the flop.

The last two community cards are the 6♠ and the J♣ as Perry doubles up and makes a strong case for final table appeanace with with still ten players remaining.

With 16 players reaming, here's where they stand:

The action is folded to the D of Beum Chun Jun of Korea and he raises to 50,000. IN the BB, Malaysia's Jason Lau 3-bets to 175,000. Beum then 4-bets all-in and is quickly called by Lau for his remaining 450,000.

Beum's flopped set had Lau drawing dead on the turn and the Korean breaches the three million chip mark.

In a battle of the blinds, Beum Chun Jun of Korea raises his SB to 100,000 and gets called by Filipino pro Christopher Mateo in the BB.

The flop comes 9♦ A♥ 4♥ as both players check. The turn is the 3♥ and Beum checks again. The Filipino now bets 150,000 and gets a call from his Korean opponent. The river card is the Q♦ . Mateo now unleashes a bet of 400,000. Beum tanks and males the call.

Mateo shows J♠ 8♠ for a missed gutshot while to everyone's surprise, Beum tables 6♠ 4♠ for a pair of fours that made it all the way to the end for the win for the Korean.

China's Wu Yuanning opens the action from UTG for 50,000 and gets called in the HJ by Justin Chu of Taiwan. But from the CO, Korea's Beum Chun Jun 3-bets to 175,000. Wu steps away but Chu makes the call.

The flop is Q♣ 9♣ 8♣ as both players check the monochrome board. The turn brings out the A♣ , completing a one card flush. Chu leads out for 150,000 and gets a call from his Korean opponent. The river is the J♣ completing the mono-textured board. Chu bets 250,000 as Beum goes into the tank and uses one Time Bank card in the process. The Korean then raises to 600,000. Chu decides to fold.

William Ysmael of the Philippines opens from the CO for 50,000 and gets a BB defense from Korea's Beum Chun Jun.

The flop is 8♥ 7♦ 6♠ . Beum donks in for 65,000 as Ysmael makes the call. The turn is the 4♥ and Beum unloads again, this time for 80,000. The Filipino still calls. The river is the 9♠ as Beum now fires 250,000. Ysmael still makes the call.

Beum turns over T♠ 8♣ for top pair on the flop and a one card straight on the river. Ysmael mucks his hand.

Beum now joins the seven figure stack club with the win.

Former overall chip leader John Edward Perry of Australia has dropped all the way to eighth place in the first leaderboard update of the day. Fellow Australian Thomas Ward now occupies the top spot as he and Filipino pro Lester Edoc are the only ones breaching the two million chip mark at the moment.

Chun Jun Beum min-raised to 2,000 from under the gun and was called by Yan Li on the hi-jack. Both players saw a flop of A♥ A♦ Q♣. Beum bet out 6,000 and was called by Yan Li. Yan Li also called the 15,000 bet after the 9♠ turn. After the T♠ river, Chun Jun Beum pushed all-in with Yan Li snap calling.

Chun Jun Beum showed J♦ 9♦ while Yan Li showed A♣ Q♥ for the flopped ace boat.
