While a typhoon rages around Manila, the poker action at Okada Manila for Flight B of the APPT Manila Championship is also creating its own storm. 142 entries for Flight B have met the buy-in requirement of PHP 165,000 (~US$ 2,850) in order to compete for a share of the PHP 55,000,000 (~US$ 960,850) guaranteed prize pool. 108 players are still battling it out for a chance to advance to the Day 2 leg tomorrow.

Patrick Crivell sits with the biggest stack at 138,300 and is followed closely by Emmanuel Derecho with 138,000. Rounding up the top three is Marc Anthony Joseph with 136,500, but that's just a spit away for Seonghun Jeong with a near-identical 136,000.

To begin, Angelina Rich won a small pot over Oliver Krefeldt. Krefeldt three-bet to 1,500 from the button and Angelina Rich called from the small blind for a heads-up showdown. The flop came 2♠ A♦ T♠. Rich check-called the 1,200 bet from Krefeldt to see a J♦ on the turn. Both checked to see a 7♦ on the river. Rich made a modest bet of 3,500, but Krefeldt wasn't interested to give up anymore chips.

In a few hands to follow, Angelina Rich raised from the hi-jack to 1,200 then completed the three-bet of Patrick Wahlquist to 3,500. Both players were shown a flop of K♥ K♠ K♣. Rich check-called the 1,500 bet of Whalquist then also check-called the 9♥ turn for 3,000. Both players checked the 4♦ river. Rich flashed 5♥ 5♠ to show her pair for a king boat while Wahlquist mucked.

The player from under the gun raised it up to 1,200 with Chirag Shah making the call from the next seat over. However, UTG player stepped aside when Angelina Rich pumped up the flop fee to 6,000. Shah stuck around and saw a flop of 9♦ A♠ 6♥ . Both players checked to see a K♥ on the turn. Shah checked again to allow Rich to fire 3,500. Shah took a peek at his hole cards and bid them goodbye to the much, giving the pot to Rich.

Angelina Rich raised it to 700 from under the gun with both blinds making the call to see a flop of 3♦ 2♠ J♣. Action was checked to the raiser, and Rich c-bet for 800 with only William Ysmael paying to continue to the 5♣ turn. Both players checked to see a 3♣ river. Ysmael led out with 1,100 and Rich gave up the pot.
