Mitani ousts himself

Level 2: 100 / 200 ante: 200

China’s Xu Jijun and Jun Mitani of Japan battle in an all-in preflop situation with the runout going: 2 7 9 3 4 .

Xu turns over 4 5 for a pair of fours and Mitani initially mucks his hand but then recovers his hand and then flips it over to reveal A 7 for what would have been a pair of sevens. He thought he had lost. However, since the Japanese player threw his hand in the muck, it is considered dead and Xu eliminates him. Mitani appealed his fate but it was denied.
