Three-way action between +1 Wang Guiyang, SB Louis Bilodeau and BB Aladin Reskallah has everyone all-in with Aladin Reskallah covering and dishing out two eliminations.

The final flight of the third annual APPT Cambodia Main Event wrapped up with 219 entries, bringing the total to 518 across all starting days. This turnout not only shattered the guarantee but also set the stage for an exciting Day 2 wherein 71 out of the 93 remaining players will walk away with a piece of the US$ 746,153 prize pool. By the end of the schedule 15 rounds of play, only 42 players remained, earning their spot at Day 2.

One player with a high chance of reaching ITM is Singapore's Curtis Lim who bagged the biggest at Day 1C of 377,000 (94 bb). Lim surged late in the day with a big blind special 2♦ 3♦ improving to a full house.

Locking up second and third rank are Aladin Reskallah and David Erquiaga, both players also making late day strides to bag hefty stacks. Reskallah hot streak continues having already won a side event at the series. And further down the leaderboard is Sha Chengchun who finished 3rd at the Mystery Bounty event.

The 42 remaining players now join the 51 others that survived the previous heats into Day 2. The money bubble is close at hand with 71 players paid. The minimum payout is US$ 2,700 while way up top is US$ 147,500. This is the largest top prize to be awarded to an APPT champion in Cambodia.

With 14,500 already splashed in the pot Aladin Reskallah check-raises 15,000 on a flop 3♥ 9♣ 9♠ and Yan Yu calls. On the turn 4♣ , Reskallah goes ahead and leads out 25,000, Yu calls, the pot grows further as the river comes 4♠ . Grabbing a chunk, Reskallah bets 125,000 sending Yu to the tanker then wins the pot with Yu not wanting to risk it.

Tomoaki Miura pumps the pot 2500 from cutoff and big blind Aladin Reskallah won't let him steal his chips for the call. The flop runs 8♣ 6♥ 5♣ , Miura bets 2300 and still Reskallah calls for a look at the turn 5♦ . Liking the card, Reskallah leads out 3500 and Miura back pedals and calls. The exchange of blows continue on the river T♣ with Reskallah betting 23,500, Miura shoving 46,700, Reskallah tanks then finally gives up his stake on the pot.

Yu Yan opens the action from the HJ for 1,200 and gets re-raises in the CO for 2,600. France’s Aladin Reskallah calls from the D and so does Yu to see a flop.

That flop is 5♣ 5♦ K♣ YU checks and the payer in the CO bets 2,500. Reskallah calls, but Yu check-raises to 8,000. The player in the CO opts to fold as Reskallah makes yet another call. It is heads up to the turn which is the 6♥. Yu bets 15,000 and the Frenchman still calls. The river is the A♦ as Yu now shoves. Reskallah folds.

The pot now brings Yu’s stack above the 100,000 mark.

Heading into a raised pot with only France’s Aladin Reskallah in the CO and Felix Von Rahden of Germany remaining, that flop comes 7♠ 2♠ 3♣ as Reskallah checks. Von Rahden bets 3,200 and is called. The turn is the T♣ and this time, both check. The river is the 8♥. Now, the Frenchman bets 6,600 and is met with a raise all-in for 41,000. Reskallah makes the call.

Von Rahden tables A♦ K♣ while Reskallah rivered the card he needed and shows A♣ 8♣ . Von Rahden has been bounced from the tournament and is still eligible for a re-entry.

With the turn A♥ and river 8♠ , Reskallah is relieved as he scoops up the pot.

Valeriy Fokin calls from cutoff then takes the reins throughout a board Q♥ T♠ T♦ 7♠ 3♦ by betting 1,500, 2,500, 9,700. Aladin Reskallah check-calls it down then mucks to Fokin's K♣ T♣ trips.
