European Poker Tour is going online this November, $20 million in prizes await players on PokerStars

The European Poker Tour, which recently awarded its first main event champion since the Covid pandemic emerged, is set to run an online version this November 8th up until the 18th. With major series such as the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) and World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) receiving a successful turnout in the past few months, many players are looking forward to scooping up an actual EPT trophy this time around.

A $5 million guaranteed Main Event

The festival will feature a total of 20 scheduled events for the EPT Online series, boasting a combined $20 million in prize pool guarantees. Buy-ins range from as low as $215 for the EPT Online Cup to as high as $25,000 for the Super High Roller event.

While most of the guarantees for the numbered events fall more or less in the $500,000 range, all eyes will certainly be on the Main Event happening on the 15th. Unlike other Main Events, the EPT Main Event will only have a single day starting flight wherein players are capped to two re-entries for the duration of its registration period. The $5,200 tournament will run through four days of play following the structure shown below. Having a guaranteed prize pool of $5 million, the field is expected to be huge with players of all bankroll levels to be included in the mix. Multiple satellites and daily freebuy feeder tournaments are available and currently running for players short of covering the buy-in.

Day Date Time Structure
Day 1 November 15th 18:05 End of Level 15
Day 2 November 16th 18:10 When 72 players are remaining
Day 3 November 17th 18:05 When 9 players are remaining
Day 4 November 18th 18:05 Down to a winner

Aside from the highlighting Main Event, three other tournaments will likewise guarantee seven-digit prize pools. The opener event Arena Championship, along with the High Roller and Super High Roller events will cover $1.5 million, $1 million and $2 million in prizes respectively.

EPT Online mini

With buy-ins of the EPT Online series being on the heftier side, lower stakes players can take advantage of its mini version running alongside the prime series. The EPT Online Mini will similarly run 20 events, posting a combined total of $3.3 million in guarantees. While the prizes may only be a fraction of the main festival’s $20 million in prizes, buy-ins for the mini will set back players only $2.20 with the biggest buy-in set to $215 for the Super High Roller event. A Mini Main Event for an affordable price of $55 will also be running for a guaranteed prize pool of $500,000 on the 16th.
