China Poker Games Confirms Five Stops Starting With CPG Tour Hengqin In October
Following the success of its flagship festival, premier brand China Poker Games takes a short break then heads to the coastal city of Zhuhai in Guandong Province, China. Returning for the fifth time to the Zhuhai Chimelong Hengqin Bay Hotel, CPG Tour Hengqin is scheduled to run from October 19 to 25, 2024.
While many international players may not be familiar with Zhuhai, for many Chinese players this poker destination may well be a favorite, and for plenty of reasons. At the top of that list is its close proximity to Macau which you can literally see from across the water. Zhuhai is the only mainland citiy that adjoins Hong Kong and Macau on land.
Through the years Zhuhai has gone through a major transformation offering incredible tourist attractions. Last year, the Chimelong Marine Science Park opened featuring the Spaceship City which houses the world’s largest indoor theme park. There is even a submarine park, dolphin, park, and a wave pool making this a perfect holiday destination. Since its opening it has broken several world records.
The upcoming CPG Tour Hengqin is quite unique as it is both a tour stop and a satellite event to the upcoming CPG Masters. Players planning to go to CPG Masters in December can win their Main Event seats at this location. Additionally, as early as now, players can win Main Event packages via the newly revamped CPG App with online satellites running since last week.
In November, China Poker Games heads to Chongli, Zhangjiakou, China, site of the 2022 Winter Olympics. Now in its third year, CPG Chongli Tour is a weeklong event offering a different kind of player experience. For those that enjoy snowsports, this is the event to consider. Wake up early, get on the lift, enjoy the spectacular view from the top of the mountain, then ski or snowboard down the powdery slopes. To get to Chongli, the easiest way is via train from Beijing which takes under two hours. Dates to be announced.
To cap off the year, the brand returns to Sanya in December for the 7th annual CPG Masters. This one-of-a-kind festival is a popular High Roller Series with buy-ins ranging from US$ 3,200 for the Main Event to US$ 7,500 for the Super High Roller. The festival is expected to draw between 800 and 1,000 players. The event takes place at the Marriott Hotel, which is city center, with exact dates yet to be announced.
In 2025, just after Chinese New Year, the brand will host another CPG Tour Hengqin in Zhuhai. Two months after, in May, CPG hosts its most unique and unforgettable holiday experience yet, CPG Atlantis in Sanya, Haitang Bay. This event is held in a 6-star hotel. Among the attractions is one of the largest indoor aquariums in the world. Last year, Singaporean pro Alex Lee became the first international player to win a CPG Tour Main Event at this stop.
