Making its third round for the year, the Viet Nam Series of Poker Championship V is returning this August 26 for the country’s largest Championship edition to date. The popular festival first debuted back in 2020 and immediately turned into a hit for locals and international travelers alike. This month’s series in partnership with Asia Poker League, is scheduled to run through September 4th at the Viet Tower in Dong Da District, Hanoi for ten days of nonstop action.
The awaited festival boasts over a whopping VND 10,000,000 (~US$ 427,259) in combined prize guarantees across 18 featured events. Its Main Event alone posts a minimum guaranteed prize pool amounting to VND 4,000,000 (~US$ 170,903), with each starting flight charging an entry fee of VND 16,500,000 (~US$ 705). Four qualifying days will play out beginning on August 30th through September 1st with the last one, in a Turbo format. Last season’s VSOP Championship IV Main Event winner Phan Trong Linh impressively captured VND 845,000,000 (~US$ 36,650) in top prize after outlasting the 383-entry field.
