Two of Asia’s biggest brands, Asian Poker Tour and Poker Dream, willl be bumping heads in April having announced upcoming events on the same dates. Poker Dream 10 Vietnam will take place from April 29 to May 5, 2024 at the Hoiana Resort & Golf in Hoi An, Vietnam while APT Jeju 2024 is scheduled for April 26 to May 5, 2024 at Landing Hotel & Casino within the premises of Jeju Shinhwa World in Jeju, South Korea.
At this time, Poker Dream has yet to release details of its event, but one thing is for certain, players can expect an exciting lineup with big money in store. The brand’s past two visits to Hoi An produced record attendance with prize pools well exceeding USD 3.7 Million. Early this month, Poker Dream concluded its richest event to date, paying out over USD 4.2 Million in Malaysia. The Main Event amassed a brand record prize pool of RM 5,733,896 (~USD 1,215,450).

For the upcoming APT Jeju 2024, the brand has announced a KR₩ 5 Billion (~USD 3.7 Million) festival guarantee over ten days, highlighted by the KR₩ 2 Billion (~USD 1.5 Million) Main Event. This is the APT’s second event of the year and as seen at previous events, players can expect an extensive lineup filled with all of the crowd favorites.
“Last year, we saw exponential growth with record player participation and prize money. In order to meet those increasing needs, we have been on an endless search for like-minded partners who have the same high standards, while also being able to accommodate the sheer size of our present-day poker festivals,” said APT CEO Fred Leung.
Among APT Jeju 2024 highlights are the APT National Cup, the highly popular Mystery Bounty Hunter – Sponsored by Natural8, Super Star Challenge, APT Super High Roller, and APT High Roller.
In 2023, the Asian poker scene was taken by storm by the massive APT prize pool guarantees that resulted in overwhelming turnouts. The APT was the first brand to announce a 1 Million USD guaranteed Main Event which was easily exceeded in Taipei City, Taiwan. This was followed by two more seven figure Main Event prize pools – Incheon, South Korea and Hanoi, Vietnam. Kicking off 2024, the brand has upped the stakes. The APT returns to Taipei City with a USD 2 Million guaranteed Main Event.
