PokerFishS: the “Home Game” app looking to expand outside of China

Due to legal restrictions and the specific nature of the Chinese web, the online poker scene in Mainland China has evolved in a very different direction as compared to the rest of the world. International “real money” operators are not the main players dominating the Chinese poker industry.

Instead, social apps are taking the lion share of this promising market. Among them is the “Home Game App” like “PokerFishS” which can be considered the most interesting development.

Home Game App mechanics

The principle of the “Home Game App” is very simple; Friends can organize a private poker game online in their own club. The game is designed to simulate live poker experience, straddle, no rake, insurance and more.

Plenty of features are offered to the game organizers such as creating their own poker club, full tracking of the amount of chips won and lost by the players in their games, the ability to limit the amount of chips that players can bring into the game, these are just some of them.

Several home game apps have become very vibrant in the Chinese online poker world with PokerFishS being one of the leaders. According to figures provided by the company, PokerFishS currently has close to 1 million registered users and more than 100,000 clubs.

The next step for the app is to promote the concept outside of Mainland China starting with neighboring countries in South East Asia. This ambitious venture into new territory explains why the Asian audience will be able to follow this upcoming special SNG live streamed on three different channels.
