At the conclusion of all the Day 1 heats, 139 players advanced led by Day 1A flight leader Filipino Lloyd Locsin with a strong 578,000. Locsin brings in a towering 192 bb stack to the next stage. Other flight leaders were China’s Lijun Zhang and Filipino Lester Edoc.

Zhang earned some of her chips by knocking out Ijubasha Fukishima to close out Day 1B. On a turn board 5sQd9sQh Zhang check-raised all in with JcJd, and Fukishima risked it with Ks10c gut shot. The river Jh improved both, Zhang dominating with a full house. She closed the day with 165 bb.

Over at Day 1C, Edoc eliminated a player during the late stages with KcQd outdrawing Ac4d on a board running KhJc9s6cAh. He closed the day with 96 bb.
