The APPT Main Event is a prestigious title that attracts players from around the world. Since the festival’s opening day, a large group of Chinese players have arrived with up to 100 strong expected for the Main Event. With these numbers, they have a good chance of taking down the title, as six of them have already won side events. Other large contingents are Russia, India, Korea, and Australia.

One player back in action is reigning champion Alexander Puchalski from Canada who won the Main Event last year. He will be aiming for a repeat performance and another big payday.
