Two weeks away from the Asia Pacific Poker Tour’s return to the Kingdom of Wonder – NagaWorld Phnom Penh – May 5 to 15

In just two weeks time, iconic PokerStars trophies and juicy cash prizes will be up for grabs as the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) returns to the stunning country of Cambodia. As one of the most celebrated festivals in the region, an action-packed schedule awaits players. And the best part, all winnings are tax-free, allowing players to walk away with their full earnings.

Over the years, the APPT has gained a reputation for bringing together some of the best poker players from around the world, all of them vying for the coveted Main Event title. This year’s edition is no exception as the Main Event guarantees US$ 400,000. At the inaugural APPT Cambodia held last year, Canada’s Alexander Puchalski turned his US$ 1,500 buy in into a career high US$ 96,000.

What’s in store at APPT Cambodia

APPT Cambodia 2023 takes place from May 5 to 15 at the world-class NagaWorld Integrated Resort Complex in Phnom Penh. The facilities boast 40-gaming tables with tournaments and cash games running simultaneously during the festival.

In collaboration with boutique gaming consulting company, Connaissance Management,  the APPT is the second brand to make NagaWorld its home in Cambodia. For the APPT, it will be its second visit to the capital city.

Through the years, PokerStars trophies have been among the most desired hardware in the industry. For the festival, 26 will be up for grabs. You can capture the standout PS Shard Trophy at one of these events.

Cash Games

APPT Cambodia tournament players can also look forward to plenty of juicy Cash Games. Both No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha are offered with stakes of $1/$3, $2/$5, $5/$10, and $10/$25. Player Information

For players still needing accommodations, player rates are available. For first timers, Phnom Penh is only a forty-minute flight away from Siem Reap, home to the impressive Angkor Wat temple – the largest temple in the world. Be sure to take some time away from the felt to explore this must-see destination.

NO TAX on winnings

In addition to tournaments are Cash Tables running all day and night. with a wide range of stakes offered. Players will also be glad to know that there is “NO TAX” on both cash and tournament winnings.

Airport to NagaWorld Integrated Resort Complex

For travelers arriving at the Phnom Penh International Airport, there are multiple options available to get to NagaWorld Integrated Resort Complex. To avoid getting overcharged, Grab Taxi and Metered Taxi Service – Global Taxi are recommended. The distance is roughly 10km which is around 30 minutes.

Currency

The country’s currency is the Cambodian Riel, however the US Dollar is widely accepted. In fact, USD is more accepted than the Riel. At the festival, USD will be used for both tournaments and cash games. Exchange counters are available at the hotel lobby.
