World Poker Championship – Schedule
For those just hearing of the WPC, the young and ambitious series was the first to guarantee seven figures in Hanoi, Vietnam, and crushed it, paying out over US$ 2.2 Million. It was also the first to breach one thousand Main Event entries in the country. To date, WPC is the most popular Korean run event in Southeast Asia.
Returning for its third installment, the WPC aims big once again. A total of 10 tournaments are backed by guarantees with the Main Event boasting a VN₫ 10,000,000,000 (~US$ 425,700) prize pool. It runs from April 4 to 8 with four Day 1 flights scheduled.

Tourist information
For new travelers, Hanoi is the capital city of Vietnam. Compared to Ho Chi Minh City (aka Saigon) it is less populated and more on the rural side. The Hanoi International Airport is roughly 30 minutes from the Grand Loyal Poker Club. The best way to get to the venue is via Grab car but make sure to have the local currency on hand – the Vietnamese Dong. There are exchange counters at the airport at a decent rate.
If you are in need of accommodations, no need to look further than the venue itself. The poker room is located at the Grand Loyal Hotel. Make sure to ask if player rates are available.
