Day 1B of the APC Da Nang MAIN EVENT ended with 10 more qualifiers into the Day 2 pool. Amassing the enormous chip lead of 886,000 (74 BB) was Ji Won Yoon aka Sharon to brandish against the collected pool of poker pros gunning for the ₫8 Billion (~$337K) guaranteed prize pool.
The action hand that catapulted Yoon to the top was 
completing the open-ended on the river 
to defeat a player’s 
over pair. The shoves were seen at the flop. Yoon earned more than 400K chips in the process and is now the overall Day 2 chip leader with two entry days remaining.
In second rank by a wide 27 BB less was Se Kyung Oh with 559,000 chips (47 BB). Oh ended the run of an extremely short stacked player on the bubble to end Day 1B. The day also saw a good number of notables in action however a majority were unable to reach ITM. Among them were Florencio Campomanes, Dinh Duc Linh, Duc Nhat Nguyen, Manh Hanh Nguyen, and Warm Up champion Teddy Pham. Luckily there is still time left to try to qualify.

This is the first Asia Poker Championship to be held in Da Nang, Vietnam, at the new Dragon Poker Club located on the 8th floor of the Han Market Square Building. The series started on February 27 and will end on March 5. Main Evetn Day 1B drew 82 entries with 10 players reaching ITM and advancing to Day 2.
Players qualifying for Day 2 will meet back on March 4, Saturday at 11am. They await two more scheduled Day 1 seeds this Friday, March 3, 2023.
