Everything you need to know about the MAIN EVENT of USOP: Poker2U Taiwan Series – February 15 to 19 at CTP Club

 

Be the first ever U Series of Poker live event MAIN EVENT champion! The inaugural USOP: Poker2U Taiwan Series kicks off the second half of the festival with its crowned jewel MAIN EVENT. An impressive TWD 10,000,000 (~$330,000) guarantee awaits players. Event runs from February 15 to 19 at host venue Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association (CTP Club) in Taipei City. Staying true to its affordable prices, players have a chance at prestige and big money for a modest TWD 20,000 (~$660) buy in.

Main Event details

The first three days – February 15, 16, 17 – are dedicated to entry flights. Four are scheduled with the last one a Turbo format. Players begin with a 30,000 stack, equivalent to 300x the opening blinds. Registration closes at the start of Level 10. Players that sign up on the last second will still have a decent 25 BB. Day 1 bags up at ITM of 12.5% of the field.

Day 2 runs on February 18. Blinds increase at a steady 50 minute pace. Play will stop at the end of Level 24 or the Final Table, whichever is first reached. Multiple stacks are allowed however only the biggest advances. Day 3 / Final Day is on February 19. Blinds go up at an even slower 60 minute pace.

Big prizes await the inaugural live champion such as bragging rights, the largest chunk of the pot, and the grand prize Main Event trophy sponsored by UPoker.

Early Bird Basic Package

If you haven’t yet heard, the EARLY BIRD BASIC PACKAGE is still available. Players that enter the Main Event before the starting buzzer of each entry day will automatically qualify for BUBBLE PROTECTION. Keep in mind, bubble protection only applies to your first bullet, so make sure to register early and have your chips in play on the first deal of Level 1. This package is not applicable to next day re-entry. Package is TWD 20,000.

For those new to the Bubble Protection incentive, if you bust without any pay during the bubble round, you will receive 20,000 worth in tournament credits to be used only at the ongoing series. Credits are non-transferrable to future USOP events.
