2021 World Series of Poker’s 88-bracelet schedule revealed!

No year in the field of poker is totally complete without the annual World Series of Poker festivities held each summer in Las Vegas. The historic tournament remains to be the industry’s most prestigious and awaited event by players of all levels throughout the years. While 2020’s events were unfortunately disrupted due to the ongoing pandemic, this year’s festival is going full force with a loaded schedule featuring a total of 88 bracelet events.

World Series of Poker

The 2021 WSOP is set to run this September 30 through November 23, 2021 at the entertainment capital’s Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, with registrations both online and in-person to be open as early as August. Buy-ins for the events range from $400 to its most expensive tournament at $250,000 for the Super High Roller NLH event.

“Make no mistake, the 2021 WSOP will be the real deal and we’re preparing for a full house. Throughout the storied history of the WSOP, this year will be particularly memorable and we’re preparing for a poker reunion all players can celebrate,” said WSOP’s Executive Director Ty Stewart. “We’re beyond thrilled to offer a complete schedule of can’t-miss events including all our flagships and the variety players deserve.”

2021 WSOP Main Event World Championship

The $10,000 Main Event No Limit Hold’em World Championship stands to be the main attraction each year with 2019’s games having hit an impressive record of over 8,000 entrants for only the second time in WSOP history. This 2021, players will get a chance to compete for the coveted title across four starting flights beginning on November 4th for Day 1A and continuing through November 7th for its last Day 1D flight. Final table play is scheduled to resume on Tuesday, November 16 through the 17th.

New and Updated Events

While this year’s festival continues to offer its annual classics, the WSOP is focused on catering to its ever-changing market by introducing new and updated events on its schedule. Below are this year’s fresh offerings making the upcoming festivities even more enticing.

Oct 1: $500 “The Reunion” w/ $5,000,000 GTD prize pool – Starting the series with a bang, the brand looks confident its opening weekend will break this tournament’s 10,000-participant requirement to break the guarantee. Three starting flights from Friday to Sunday are available for this juicy new addition!

Oct 8 – Nov 19: Return of the Record Breakers – Each Friday and Saturday throughout the schedule will feature WSOP’s flagship events such as the Millionaire Maker, Monster Stack, Double Stack, Colossus and The Closer for upgraded multi-million dollar prize guarantees.

Oct 5: $25,000 Heads Up No Limit Hold’em Championship – The brand’s annual heads-up tournament will see a heftier entry fee this year as the best of the bests battle in the exciting action. Unlike other events, this tournament is set to be capped at a maximum of 64 players.

Oct 10: $1,000 Flip and Go Presented by GG Poker – The thrilling online format has made its way to this year’s festivities in partnership with leading platform GG Poker. Automatically all-in preflop, players will get to select two out of three hole cards with only one winner from each table fast-tracking into the money. Lucky winners will then play the rest of the tournament duration under a traditional structure.

Oct 27 – 28: $1,000 Seniors Doubles Up – The yearly hit has been updated and will now offer two starting days and one optional re-entry allowed per flight.

Oct 6, 13, 18, 21, and 24: “Old School Freezeouts Return” – Multiple freezeout NLH events have once again been introduced in this year’s schedule across varying entry levels from $500 to $5,000.

Oct 31: Deuce to Seven Single Draw NL Returns – Adding more variety, the $50,000 Poker Players Championship 6-Handed event will expand to nine games with the return of the 2-7 Single Draw NL. A similar format of a more modest buy-in of $2,500 is available on October 28.

Nov 17: Poker Hall of Fame Bounty – An exciting treat for all, living Hall of Fame members will be invited to freeroll the $1,979 event open to all players. Participants will have a bounty corresponding to the year they were inducted into the exclusive club.

Nov 19: Nosebleed PLO – The last leg of the series showcases a series of prestigious High Roller events including the highest ever buy-in for a PLO tournament (Event #84: $50,000).

Moreover, players looking for non-stop action will be glad to hear the comeback of Daily Deepstack tournaments available on most days at 1 p.m., 4 p.m., 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. in the Pavilion Room. Satellite tournaments, as well as cash games, will also be running daily for those interested.

Other Notes

Aside from the new event additions, this year’s WSOP will also see a new broadcast partner for its exciting events. CBS Sports is stationed to offer increased coverage featuring 18 different televised bracelet events while a minimum of 15 hours of coverage for the Main Event will be produced exclusively by Poker Central.

WSOP bracelet event entrants staying in The Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino and all Caesars Entertainment resorts in Las Vegas are entitled to avail its reduced hotel room rates for the duration of the festival. Using the special advanced booking code “WSOPM” upon reservation, players can take advantage of The Rio’s low rates starting at $47 a night. Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, Paris Las Vegas, Flamingo Las Vegas, Harrah’s Las Vegas, Bally’s Las Vegas and The Linq Hotel + Experience will likewise provide discounted WSOP player rates based on availability. A complete list of rates across the properties can be viewed at their Reservations page.

With many looking forward to the upcoming festivities, expectations remain high as normalcy across the states makes its eventual return. Players appear more eager than ever following the brand’s 26-month absence brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic, making this year’s series possibly bigger than its previous one. 2019’s recorded results were already as impressive as it is with a whopping total of 187,298 entries and $293,183,345 in prize money awarded across its events. Its Main Event alone featured an $80 million prize pool with a clean $10 million going to Hossein Ensan for bagging the 50th Main Event title.

“We could not be more excited to welcome everyone back to Las Vegas and the Rio,” said WSOP Vice President and Tournament Director, Jack Effel. “The entire WSOP team is hard at work to ensure players have the absolute best experience possible.”
