U Series of Poker (USOP) Vietnam festival pays out over $2.4 Million; Vietnam lifts 19 trophies; Chinh Duc Tran wins two events

U Series of Poker recently concluded its first Vietnam festival at the Crown Poker Club in capital city Hanoi and it was a resounding success, paying out a grand VN₫ 56.9 Billion (~US$ 2.4 Million) across the board. This amount exceeded last February’s debut in Taiwan by $700K. Notably, the Main Event had a prize pool of VN₫ 16.5 Billion, which was the largest in the country this year, with the exception of Triton Vietnam.

He emerged the single biggest winner, pocketing a massive VN₫ 3,550,000,000 (~US$ 151,100). Host country Vietnam dominated most of the events, lifting a whopping 19 trophies.

During the first break of Main Event Day 1C, USOP Chief Operating Officer Alex Wong and CPC owner Tobias Bui expressed their gratitude for the tremendous support of the local force and the international players that made the trip. In comparison to USOP Taiwan, the Vietnam series attracted more players from around the world and built a much larger prize pool. Here are the final numbers.
