Day 1C filling up

And we are off! 6 tables quickly filled up and just like that, the VND 8 billion guarantee has been dusted. All we needed to do so was 9 players so we are well on our way to monster prize pool. For those reading our updates on the sidelines, don’t miss out! Registration stays open until the start of Level 10 (around 730pm), so plenty of time to make your way. This is the last entry day. Only one re-entry allowed, time to make it count!

This is it! Last day to enter the Main Event!

Good afternoon players and welcome to Day 1C of the Main Event! This is the third and last chance to take part in what is brewing to possibly be the biggest WPT Vietnam prize pool. The past two days saw a total of 347 entries – 136 for Day 1A and 211 for Day 1B – with 85 players through to Day 2. The VND 8,000,000 (US$344,800) guarantee was not breached last night but it will be in Day 1C even before the starting buzzer. Buy-in to this event is VND 25,000,000 (US$1,070).

For those jumping in today, here’s all the info you need:

Starting stack: 30,000
Opening blinds: 100-100 ante 100
Level duration: 40 minutes
Registration closes: at the start of Level 10 (around 730pm)
Bagging time: end of Level 14

For players that bust before reg closes, you only have one re-entry available to you to navigate yourself to the next stage. Additionally, there is no best stack forward rule so players that have already qualified from the previous starting days will enter Day 2 with the stack bagged.

Last night, Day 1B saw the rise of Vietnam pro Thai Ha to the top of the chip count. He is currently the overall chip leader with 363,500. Two players from India follow down the rung, both from Day 1A, Yasheel Doddanavar with 333,000 and Eka Vedantham with 323,500.
