Main Event: SUNG MIN LEE – KR₩ 100,000,000 (~US$ 85,000)

After six weekends of qualifying heats held at various pubs across the nation, the Main Event pulled in 888 entries, each one battling for a piece of the KR₩ 320,000,000 (~US$ 272,000) guaranteed prize pool. Only 176 advanced to Day 2 and a further 26 to the final day. Sung Min Lee was ranked near bottom in 22nd position while Dongsik Jeong was holding court up top, however by night’s end, Lee had all the chips and was crowned the newest J88PT Korea Main Event champion. Lee walked away with a career high KR₩ 100,000,000 (~US$ 85,000) first prize and a trophy for his poker shelf. This was a big moment for Lee whose previous best score was just KR₩ 3,200,000 (~US$ 2,780).
