Profile

Despite only recently penetrating the poker scene, rookie player Sam Lam has made history by winning the biggest Super High Roller in the Asian Poker Tour series. During his impressive run in 2023, Lam took home NTD 3,997,400 (USD 129,880) and beat out 117 entries—the largest field in 15 years of APT.

The rookie’s record-breaking win scored him 245.61 GPI points, undoubtedly pointing his poker career in the right direction. The only other record in Lam’s poker arsenal thus far was a stint at the 2014 Aspers Newcastle Recurring Tournaments, where he participated in the No-Limit Hold’em League Final and placed 2nd, winning £900.
