Australian poker player Mark Furniss has cemented his status as the one to beat in international non-NLH games. In particular, he demonstrated his prowess when he won his second APT title in the TWD 8,000 Event #25 8 Game, which combined Limit Hold’em, Omaha Hi/Low, Raxx, Stud Hi/Lo, Pot Limit Omaha, and 2-7 Triple Draw.

However, Furniss’ best win occurred at the 2012 Aussie Millions Poker Championship, during which he placed 3rd in the A$ 2,250 + 250 HORSE event, bagging AUD 15,000 (USD 15,442) in prize money. 

Recently, Furniss enjoyed a winning streak at multiple APT Taipei tournaments. He placed first in the 2023 run’s NTD 7,200 + 800 Limit Triple Draw Lowball Mix (winning NTD 60,404 or USD 1,912), NTD 7,200 + 800 8 Game (winning NTD 60,404 or USD 1,909), and NTD 4,500 + 500 No-Limit Single Draw Mix Hyper Turbo event (winning NTD 43,487 or USD 1,379).
