Profile

California-based Filipino poker player Henrieto Acain is a WSOP bracelet winner who began his career in Manila and Cebu. While he began playing poker in 2008, Acain says he only developed his skills fully in 2013 mainly as a cash game player.

After impressive first-place wins in Asian Poker Tour Cebu, PokerStars LIVE Okada Manila Millions, and the Manila Megastack 18, Acain experienced his most significant victory in the Housewarming event at WSOP 2022 in Las Vegas. The win scored his first WSOP bracelet and a hefty prize fund of USD 701,205. It’s still his best live cash to date. He was also the only second Filipino to win a coveted WSOP gold.

However, Acain has made significant runs in other tournaments, again placing first in the RunGood Studio Ticket event at the RUNGOOD Poker Series in November 2022, winning USD 38,270. His other first-place victories occurred in the Ring Event 3 at WSOPC Northern California (winning USD 25,938) and in the APPT National Event #8 at APPT Manila (winning PHP 1,843,00 or USD 33,576).

Currently, Acain has total live earnings of USD 1,106,053.
