Xing Zhongjie, Zhichen Yu Top Flights At Poker Dream Jeju 12 Main Event

The inaugural Poker Dream Jeju 12 festival has completed two starting days of its featured Main Event with a combined 195 entries getting an early run at qualifying into the money round. 14 players have now booked their ticket and are guaranteed a piece of the record-setting ₩2.8 Billion / US$ 2 Million prize pool. This is the largest Main Event guarantee ever put forth by the brand. Here are the numbers so far.

Chinese players have come out in full force, especially at the Main Event where they dominated not just in numbers but in the counts as well. Out of the 14 players that advanced to Day 2, all but one hails from China, Sanduisuren Nadmid from Mongolia.

Both Day 1A and Day 1B closed with nearly the same turnout. Day 1A was slightly larger at 102 entries and Day 1B at 93 entries. Among the players in attendance were WSOP bracelet winners Wei Guoliang, Yang Zhang, and decorated players Sim Kok Wai and Wei Zhao. Unfortunately for these hopefuls they missed the mark, luckily there are still nine flights left to turn it around.

Xing Zhongjie set the bar high at Day 1A bagging up 546,000 (91 bb). During the late round, Xing knocked out multiple players then delivered the bubble to wrap up the flight.

Over at Day 1B, Zhichen Yu bagged the biggest after knocking out Yaojiang Wang just before the bubble round. In addition to the leaders, impressive finish for Che Jiaming who achieved the difficult task of qualifying twice to earn himself a Dream Bonus reward of ₩9.4 Million, that’s 3 to 4 times more than the minimum payout!
