WPT Prime Cambodia: I-Chun Chiu leads Main Event Final 9! Chi-Cong Chao, Paul Judge win trophies, 56 survive HR 3K Day 1, reg still open; 17 remaining at Bounty
After three starting days followed by intense Day 2 competition, the Final 9 players of the Main Event was established! It was decided at the fall of China’s Yunsheng Sun in 10th place to France’s Matthieu Lamagnere with unable to improve against .
The WPT Prime Cambodia Season XXI – MAIN EVENT – resumes on Monday, March 20 at 1pm. Everyone is guaranteed a payout of US$ 16,280 however what they will be hunting for is the US$ 173,130 top prize (inclusive of WPT World Championship entry worth US$ 10,400 with airfare and accommodations). Unfortunately there will be no livestream, instead, players can track the action via the Live Updates in the WPT.com website.
At the top of the pecking order is Taiwan’s I-Chun Chiu aka Charlie Chiu with 82 bb. This is Chiu’s second final table having placed 8th at the Mystery Bounty. Chiu has a fairly comfortable lead over second ranked Matthieu Lamagnere with 62 bb. In third rank isBien Mai, the only Vietnamese player left in the running and the only player with a series side event title. Mai is on his third final table.

Event 23: High Roller 3K – $250K GTD
Swell turnout at Day 1 of the High Roller 3K with 99 signing up to easily breach the US$ 250K guarantee. After 11 levels of 40-minute blinds, 56 bagged up with Russia’s Timur Khamidullin amassing 132 bb. Khamidullin earned a majority of his chips on a double up through WPT decorated champion Vincent Chauve.

Chi-Cong Chao wins the NLH Turbo Freezeout
The NLH Turbo Freezeout bolted through Sunday night in high speed with the event completing in seven hours. Taiwan’s Chi-Cong Chao outdueled France’s David Koy at heads up to claim the win and his first ever WPT trophy.
During bubble time, with 18 remaining and average at just 10 bb, big stacked Thomas Lind aka Tottirailed Deep Raina (4 bb) with dusting .
With the money intact, players raced to reach a final table seat. Lind finished in 4th place, falling to Koy with Ace-Ten outdrawn by King-Jack, King on the board. Dongyun Jo fell next leaving Koy and Chao battling for the win. After several hands, both players opted to split the money down the middle.
