Winfred Yu Opens Dream Room In Taiwan
At 3pm on October 9, 2024, poker pro and business man Winfred Yu, along with partners, colleagues, and friends, officially opened Dream Room in Taipei City, Taiwan. To celebrate the momentous occasion, the grand launch featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a dragon dance, followed by a heartfelt speech by Yu to mark the occasion.

With poker interest growing and events in demand, the Dream Room will be sponsoring tournaments like Poker Dream and Triton. The launch was attended by some of the industry’s leading figures: Triton CEO Andy Wong, Pokerchain President Chen An Lin, USA pro Daniel Cates aka Jungleman, Poker Dream CEO Rex Cheong, Danny Tang, Malaysian pros Wai Kiat Lee, Webster Lim, You Jun Hong, just to mention a few.
Dream Room Taiwan Features
Situated in the heart of Taipei City, the new poker room features bright, welcoming lighting, includes four exclusive tables with tv screens, a dedicated livestream table, and six tables on the main floor. The room is quite spacious, allowing for the addition of more tables if needed.
After the festivities, it was time to test out the tables. Almost instantly, nearly all were up and running, featuring Opening Time-Limited Tournaments with stakes for as low as NT$ 11,000 (~US$ 340) to NT$100,000 (~US$ 3,100). Dream Room will also offer lower stakes of NT$ 3,200 (~US$ 100), NT$4,400 (~US$ 140), NT$ 6,000 (~US$ 190). According to Yu, these Time-Limited Sit N Gos are the future of poker and have the ability to bring the underground into the legal world.
The sporty high stakes livestream table took center stage, showing off its cool look during the Poker Millionaire – One Million Time-Limited Invitational Tournament. This event featured a buy in of NT$ 1,000,000 (~US$ 31,000). Among the players on the felt were Jungleman, Danny Tang, Punnat Punsri, Chun Keat Liu aka CK Liu, Anson Ewe, and Winfred Yu.

Dream Room is located at N. 15-4, Fuxing North Road, Songshan District, Taipei City 105. It is open everyday Monday-Thursday 16:00-4:00, and Friday to Sunda 14:00-4:00.
