Grand Loyal to close out the year featuring Hanoi Super Series ₫10 Billion (~$402,500) guaranteed

 

The Grand Loyal Poker Club in Vietnam has been a poker powerhouse all year with massive international and homegrown festivals fueling up the country’s capital city. In September, the club shattered multiple country records, paying out over $2.3 Million in prizes during the ten-day World Poker Championship. To date, it is the biggest event ever staged in Hanoi.

To close out the calendar year, the club has one more exciting event planned. Recently announced is the Hanoi Super Series featuring ₫10 Billion (~$402,500) in guarantees. This event is in collaboration with one of Korea’s leading pub groups, Korea Mind Game Members (KMGM), so expect a storm of players firing up the tables once again. The series showcases ten trophy events from November 28 to December 4 headlined by the ₫5 Billion guaranteed Main Event. Let’s have a detailed look at the upcoming series.

HSS MAIN EVENT – ₫5,000,000,000 GTD

The Hanoi Super Series Main Event is quite ambitious seeing that the buy in is ₫20,000,000 (~$800), higher than usual for a local event. In turn it is matched with a sizable ₫5 Billion (~$201,200) guarantee that will surely bring a big crowd of pros and recreational players to the tables. It runs from December 1 to 4 with two starting days plus a turbo entry flight. To enter for less, three satellites are offered at ₫2,200,000 (~$88) buy in.

WARM UP – ₫2,000,000,000 GTD

The HSS ensures it is big cash from the get-go with a Warm Up event featuring a ₫2 Billion (~$80,500) guarantee. This is a great way to build a bankroll early so you can freeroll the rest of the series. It runs from November 28 to 30. Buy in is ₫8,800,000 (~$355). Players can try to jump in for cheap via the two satellites on offer with buy in of just ₫1,000,000 (~$40).

Deep stacks are highly popular as it gives players lots of time on the felt and lots of chips to test their opponents. The schedule offers one such event, the Megastack featuring a ₫1 Billion guarantee (~$40,250), taking place on Wednesday, November 30. 

SUPER HIGH ROLLER – ₫2,000,000,000 GTD

High roller events have become incredibly popular in Vietnam that local and international festivals have added more to their lineups. At the HSS, the Super High Roller will be one hot item as it features a ₫2 Billion (~$80,500) prize pool. Players can take a stab at it for a price tag of ₫55 Million (~$2,215). To get in for cheaper, there are two satellites scheduled with buy in of just ₫6,000,000 (~$240). The SHR event bookends the series running on December 3 to 4.

Tourist info

For those new to the Grand Loyal Poker Club, it is located in Hanoi which is the capital city of Vietnam. It is located within the premises of the Grand Vista Hotel, in the heart of town. Rates are highly affordable. To get to the venue from Hanoi International Airport, just hop on a Grab car, it takes roughly 30-40 minutes. Currency is the Vietnamese Dong. First time visitors will find that the city is very charming, we recommend checking out The Old Quarter.
