The Grand Ho Tram Strip will host the first major poker tournament in Vietnam

The Grand Ho Tram Strip will be the location of the first ever top class live poker tournament in Vietnam, and it will commence on the 6th of May 2015 and run until the 13th of May. The president of the Grand Ho Tram Strip and the CEO of World Gaming Group Limited have been involved in productive talks this week and were able to announce yesterday that the casino will be a new stop on the Asian Poker Tour (APT). The Tour itself hasn't announced the new location, but that should follow soon.

This is part of much larger plan to develop poker at the Grand Ho Tram Strip. Few weeks ago, the casino signed with World gaming Group Limited an agreement to create, develop and maintain poker operations which hopefully means more tournaments in the future. The only possible downside to the news is that Vietnamese residents will be unable to participate due to the currents laws in place, and the events will only be open to foreign passport holders. Despite this fact, hosting a major poker tournament on Vietnamese shores remains a very positive step forward for Asian poker.

The partnership with World Gaming Group Limited will bring more poker at the Grand Ho Tram Strip

As the first major poker tournament to be hosted in Vietnam, it would help to fuel poker growth in the area if the tournament sees a good turnout of players, and should prove a great addition to an APT calendar that already has many exciting locations scheduled.
