Two spots to the money, Calvin Lee risked his tournament life (159,000) with A♥ Q♣ and was up against Zhiyuan Zhang's 9♠ 9♥ for a crucial flip. Zhang instantly landed the favor on flop 5♦ 9♣ J♣ , yet shot down as runout K♠ T♦ ran a runner runner straight for his opponent.

Having lost a chunk of his stack previously, Dawei Lu stuffed his remaining 93,000 on the button and was called by Zhiyuan Zhang. Outpipped by one, Lu failed to catch up on board Q♠ 4♥ J♥ 2♣ 8♦ , leaving not even a chop to save him from his demise.

Bin Leng opened from early position, and saw Zhiyuan Zhang and big blind Dawei Lu come along on flop 2♣ J♥ 2♦ . Action was checked to Zhang, who bet 13,000. Both opponents continued to turn 6♣ , checked once more to Zhang.

Another 22,000 bet headed their way, firstly called by Lu. Leng decided to bump it up to 77,000, which didn't stop either player from continuing to river 7♥ . Leng bet a final 85,000, paid only by Lu with J♦ 6♠ , crushed all the way against Leng's flopped trip deuces A♥ 2♥ .

Pete Chen opened from utg+1 and called a 40,000 three bet from Zhiyuan Zhang behind. On flop Q♦ J♦ 8♦ , Zhang got his remaining 76,000 in and was tank called by his Taiwanese opponent with A♥ J♥ . Zhang is ahead with K♣ K♥ , and continued that way through turn T♣ and river A♣ for a full double up.

Bin Leng opened to 10,000, called by short stacked Zhiyuan Zhang behind. On flop A♦ 9♦ 6♥ , Zhang called for another 13,000, revealing turn K♦ . Leng this time checked, and folded after Zhang pulled the trigger for 59,000.

Pete Chen opened to 10,000 on the hijack and was joined by Zhiyuan Zhang behind, along with the big blind on flop 9♦ 7♣ 4♣ . Checked to Zhang, he bet 13,000, check called only by Chen onto turn J♣ . Both checked it through to river 7♦ where Chen led for 30,000.

Zhang made the call, only to muck as Chen tabled Q♥ 7♥ for rivered trip sevens.

A five way raised pot saw flop J♥ 5♠ 4♦ . Action was checked to Zhiyuan Zhang who bet 15,000, called only by Hui Chen one seat behind. Turn T♦ and river 9♦ welcomed no more bets, with Chen raking in the boost with 8♦ 8♠ against Zhang's 7♦ 7♠ .

Dawei Lu opened to 9,000 from utg and was called behind by second in command, Zhiyuan Zhang. On board 5♦ 6♥ 3♣ K♠ 7♠ , Lu fired three streets - 13,000, 20,000, and 50,000, all of which were called down by Zhang. Lu revealed A♥ A♦ and shipped the pot just as Zhang mucked.

Zhiyuan Zhang once again opened to 6,000, to which Dawei Lu defended his big blind. On flop 2♣ 5♦ 8♠ , Lu check called for 11,000, and faced another 16,000 on turn 3♦ . Lu opted to put in a raise for 20,000 more, called by Zhang. River went check check, revealing Lu's A♦ 6♦ no good against Zhang's J♠ J♦ .

Zhiyuan Zhang on the button opened to 5,000, called by both players on the blinds. On board 3♥ 3♣ K♦ Q♠ , Zhang barreled 6,000, followed by another 8,000, enough to weed one opponent out after the other for the pot.

A three way raised pot led by Bin Leng saw flop 4♥ 2♠ 9♣ . Action was checked to last-to-act Hui Chen, who bet 11,500. Both opponents threw in the call, and called for another 25,000 on turn 3♣ . This didn't slow down Chen as he churned out a final 54,000 on river 6♥ . Both decided to give it up, earning Chen the sizable pot.

A preflop back and forth between button Pete Chen and big blind Zhiyuan Zhang led to both stacks in the middle, with Chen left at risk for his tournament life (87,000). Board K♥ 3♥ 7♣ 5♠ 4♦ quickly landed in favor of Zhang's overcards, earning him a significant boost to his already healthy stack.

Having busted out earlier, Lei Yu re-entered the games yet was left in pieces once more after running his remaining 51,000, smack into Zhiyuan Zhang's rockets. Board K♠ 3♠ 4♠ 8♥ 2♠ sent no help for Yu, leaving him headed for the rails a second time.

Mengchao Yi opened to 3,500 from utg and saw Zhiyuan Zhang call behind. On board 9♠ 5♦ 7♥ K♣ , Yi fired two streets - 6,000, and 4,500, with Zhang putting in a raise to 12,000 by the second barrel. Yi answered with an all-in, snap called by Zhang for his entire 69,500.

Yi reveals set 5♠ 5♥ , ultimately crushed by Zhang's higher set 9♥ 9♣ all the way through river A♠ . Yi takes the loss and shoots down to 7 BB.

Action folded to Zhiyuan Zhang on the small blind, who raised to 1,400. Lei Yu put in the call behind to see flop 4♥ 6♥ 3♠ . Checked to Yu, he bet 1,600, followed by another 3,500 on turn 9♥ . Zhang check called one street yet folded after Yu continued with aggression.

Dawei Lu opened to 1,500 from utg and was met with a 4,500 three bet from Zhiyuan Zhang on the button. Lu clapped back with another raise to 12,000, which didn't stop Zhang from firing a heftier 26,000. Lu finally pushed all-in and successfully convinced Zhang to give it up.

Koichi Chiba opened from utg to 1,200, and was joined by both Zhiyuan Zhang on the button along with small blind Lei Yu. Action on flop T♦ 2♠ 3♣ was checked to Zhang, who bet 3,000. Yu put in a raise to 7,500, and once again surrendered after Zhang bumped it up further to 16,000.
