The last tournament at WPT Korea 2024 wrapped up with Thomas Boivin bagging the WPT High Roller title after defeating American pro Stanley Weng in heads up play. Boivin kicked off the final games with a healthy stack and started the final duel with a 2:1 advantage. Once with the lead, Boivin did not relinquish his advantage and secured the victory all the way to the end, taking with him the KRW 218,520,000 top payout, trophy, as well as a WPT High Roller Ring.

Button Noda Hiroyuki opened to 50,000, followed by a three bet to 180,000 from small blind Stanley Weng. Noda clicked back to 360,000 and called off for his 485,000 behind after Weng moved all-in. Hijack Zhendong Li opened to 40,000 and was met with a three bet to 100,000 from cutoff Stanley Weng. Zhendong put in the call and headed to flop 2♣ J♥ 9♥ . Weng continued for 75,000 and another 215,000 on turn 7♣ . Zhendong check shoved and saw Weng call off for his 430,000 stack. Zhendong reveals K♣ Q♥ , no good against Weng’s A♥ A♣ after the river 2♠ sealed the win for the American runner.
