The flop comes K♦ 6♠ 4♥ as all players opt to check. The turn is the 8♥ as the SB checks again, Vietnam’s Nguyen Quang Huy is in the BB and he leads out for 30,000. Hendri calls and the player in the SB folds. It is heads up to the river and it brings in the Q♣ . Nguyen fires again, this time for 55,000 as the Indonesian chooses to walk away, but not before having his stack trimmed to under 200,000.

The action begins with a limp from UTG and a raise from the +1 position from Nguyen Quang Huy of Vietnam to 20,000. Chip leader Zheng Anshu calls from the SB and the initial limper joins in as well.

The flop is Q♦ A♠ Q♣ as the action is checked back to Nguyen who continues for another 20,000. Zheng makes the call and the limper folds. It is heads up to the turn which produces the 9♠ as Zheng checks again and this time the Vietnamese player commits more than half his stack by betting 45,000. Zheng check-raises all-in and Nguyen makes the call.

Zheng tables A♣ 9♣ for two pairs on the turn while Nguyen shows K♣ Q♥ for trips on the flop.

Down to the last two remaining aces in the deck, the J♦ comes on the river to give Nguyen a new lease on his tournament life and reduce Zheng’s chip lead even more.

In a hand already in progress between Indonesia’s Roy Adi Putra in the HJ and Nguyen Quang Huy of Vietnam in the SB finds a board of T♣ Q♣ 5♥ 4♠ with 73,000 in the pot.

The river card is the 5♣ and Nguyen puts in what appears to be a value bet of 25,000. Adi Putra makes the call.

The Vietnamese player turns over Q♥ 9♥ for top pair on the flop while the Indonesian shows 9♣ 8♣ for a made flush on the river.

Nguyen’s stack is now barely above the 20 BB mark.

The flop shows Q♣ 8♥ T♥ as Nguyen checks. Adi Putra continues for another 6,000 and is called by his Vietnamese opponent. The turn is the 6♥ and the second check by Nguyen elicits another bet of 6,000 from the Indonesian. Nguyen still calls. The river is the 7♥ and this time, both players check.

Nguyen flips over 9♥ 8♣ for a runner-runner straight flush. Naturally, Adi Putra mucks.

The action starts from the CO where a raise to 3,000 is put forward but upon reaching the SB of chip leader Nguyen Quang Huy of Vietnam, there comes a 3-bet to 20,000. On the BB, Stephen Bergenholtz of the United States 4-bet shoves for his remaining 35,500. The raiser in the CO folds and Nguyen makes the call.

Bergenholtz flips over Q♠ J♠ while Nguyen has him dominated with A♠ Q♦ .

The runout goes: 7♦ 4♦ T♥ 4♠ 2♥ and Bergenholtz is bounced from the tournament. Meanwhile, Nguyen’s stack is getting closer to the 250,000 mark.

The action is folded to Vietnam’s Nguyen Quang Huy on the D and he raises to 3,000. In the SB, Heng Kai Perng of Malaysia makes a 3-bet shove for his last 19,500 and gets a quick call from Nguyen.

The Heng turns over J♣ T♠ which are live cards to Nguyen’s A♠ Q♣ .

The board completely misses Heng’s outs: 5♣ 9♣ 2♥ 7♠ 4♣ to give Nguyen the victory with Ace high and the overall chip lead with the triumph. Heng has been eliminated.

Vietnam’s Nguyen Quang Huy is second chips at the moment and opens from UTG for 3,000. The action is folded to chip-leader Hong Sungheong and he 3-bets it to 9,000. Nguyen opts to call.

The flop is K♠ 8♦ 7♣ as Nguyen checks. Hong CBets 5,000 and gets called. The turn is the 4♦ and Nguyen checks again. The Korean now unloads 20,000 to which Nguyen still calls. The river is the 3♣ and this time, both players check.

The Vietnamese player shows A♣ K♦ for top pair, top kicker on the flop. Hong chooses to muck.

The win by Nguyen almost pulls him even with Hong atop the leaderboard.

Chipleader Hong Sung heon is in the headlines anew as he performs another raise, this time from the HJ for 2,400. Yu Lin once again calls from the CO but both get 3-bet by Vietnam’s Nguyen Quang Huy on the D to 10,200. They both call.

The flop comes Q♥ J♥ 5♦ as Hong and Yu check. Nguyen CBets 20,000 and it is enough to make both his opponents fold.

The action is folded to chip leader Nguyen Quang Huy on the D and the Vietnamese player raises to 1,000. Lee Han Sic of Korea chooses to defend his BB.

The flop is 7♥ 4♣ T♣ as Lee checks. Nguyen once again fires 1,000 and again Lee makes the call. The turn is the 4♥ and again the Koren checks. Nguyen goes all-in and Lee pushes all his remaining 7,500 to make the call.

Nguyen shows T♠ 8♦ for top pair on the flop while Lee turns over K♦ 4♦ for trips on the turn and avoided all of his opponent’s outs by seeing the 6♦ on the river.

Lee dents Nguyen’s stack a bit with the hit, but the player from Vietnam remains the overall chip-leader in spite of it.

Khayal Abbasov of Azerbaijan open from the +1 position and gets a call from Vietnam’s Nguyen Quang Huy In the HJ.

The board is 2♦ 8♦ 7♣ 8♠ and the pot is already at 23,900. The river is the J♣ as Nguyen fires a bet of 14,000 and gets a call from Abbasov.

Nguyen tables A♠ A♥ as Abbasov opts to muck his hand. The Vietnamese icon is the current chip leader as he nears the 80,000 chip mark unabated.

In a preflop raising war, Azerbaijan’s Khayal Abbasov and Nguyen Quang Huy of Vietnam send all their chips to the middle of the table with Abbasov holding K♠ K♥ and Nguyen tabling A♠ A♣ .

The flop goes 2♠ 5♥ J♠ while the turn was the A♥ to seal matters in this hand. The river of the 9♠ made it an official double up for Nguyen at the expense of the Azerbaijani.
