Zheng shows 5♥ 5♦ while Rozhynskyi has Q♣ T♣. Hoang is at risk but is ahead with 6♣ 6♦ .

The flop instantly shifted the edge to Zheng: 4♠ K♥ 5♣ as the player from China flops middle set. The turn is the 7♠ and the river is the K♦ as Zheng’s full house knocks out Hoang at 7th and also hits the stack of Rozhynskyi.

Zheng climbs back up to relevance with over a million in chips

He may be down, but he’s definitely not out. Erik Rozhynskyi defends his BB on a preflop raise from Hoang Hai Nam from UTG and both see a flop.

That flop is 6♥ 6♠ 9♥ as Rozhynskyi checks. Hoang CBets to 50,000 and Rozhynskyi check-raises all-in for is remaining 185,000. Hoang snap calls him.

The rest of the community cards are the Q♦ and the T♣ to ensure Rozhynskyi’s double up and reduce Hoang’s stack emergency status.

Hoang Hai Nam opens from the +1 position for 65,000 but then Alex Wong 3-bet shoves from the CO for all his chips worth 490,000. Hoang gives it a think through and burns one Time Card in the process. The Vietnamese icon eventually decides to fold.

Malaysia’s Alex Wong opens from UTG for 80,000 and gets caller in chip-leader Jhon Hendri on the D and Hoang Hai Nam in the BB.

The flop goes A♣ 9♥ 8♦ as all skip this street. The turn is the 6♣ as it is checked to Hendri who leads out for 100,000 and gets no callers. Hendri’s stack continues to swell.

Hoang Hai Nam opens from the HJ for 60,000 and gets called by Zheng on the BB defense.

The flop is 2♦ 5♣ T♣ as Zheng checks. Hoang continues betting for another 60,000. Zheng calls. The turn is the Q♥ and Zheng checks anew. Hoang unloads 150,000 and Zheng folds.

The Ukraine’s Erik Rozhynskyi raises from the SB and is re-raised all-in by Hoang Hai Nam of Vietnam. Rozhynskyi calls for is remaining 110,000.

Hoang Hai Nam raises from UTG and it’s folded all the way to the BB of Erik Rozhynskyi who defends.

The flop is 4♦ 8♣ T♥ as Rozhynskyi checks, Hoang CBets it to 40,000 and gets called. The turn is the K♦ and Rozhynskyi checks again. Hoang now unleashes 125,000 and gets the Ukrainian to fold.

Rozhynskyi’s stack falls below the 1M mark for the first time the Final Table.

Kim tables A♣ Q♠ while Hoang shows A♠ A♥ . Wong covers both, but is behind with Q♣ J♠ for top pair on the flop. The turn is 4♦ ,no one has any diamonds in the hole cards—and the river is the 9♥ as the last lady left is out in 12th place and the virtual triple up by Hoang greatly damages Wong’s stack.

The action is folded to the D where Hoang Hai Nam of Vietnam raises to 16,000 and gets called in the SB by Adi Putra Roy of Indonesia.

The flop comes 9♥ 3♠ 9♦ and Hoang continues for 22,000. Hendri calls. The turn is the 4♣ and the Vietnamese ace declares he is all-in. Hendri makes the call for his remaining 113,000.

Hoang shows A♦ 5♠ for a gutshot redraw on the turn while the Indonesian turns over T♦ T♥ .

The river card is the 8♥ as Hendri doubles up.

The action begins when it is raised from the +1 position for 12,000 and gets callers in chip-leader Zheng Anshu of China in the +2 position and Vietnam’s Hoang Hai Nam in the BB.

It is heads up to the turn that brings in the 4♣ and this time, Zheng and Hoang both check. The river is the A♥ as the Vietnamese player leads out for 10,000 and gets raised by Zheng to 80,000. Hoang tanks but makes the call.

Zheng shows 6♦ 6♣ while Hoang excitedly turns over Q♥ 8♥ for second pair on the flop that held for the win. That was the call of the day, thus far as Hoang climbs to over 350,000 in chips and the chip-leader takes a minor hit to his huge stack.

The action begins with a limp from the CO followed by an open shove for 94,000 from Vietnam’s Hoang Hai Nam in the SB. Heng Kai Perng of Malaysia makes the call from the BB as the original limper folds.

The flop, however, proves fortuitous for the Vietnamese player: 5♥ 4♣ 9♣ as Hoang snares bottom pair. It will be enough as the last two community cards are the T♠ and the 4♦ as Hoang celebrates his miracle double up with trips.

Chip leader Zheng Anshu of China continues wielding his mighty stack as he opens from the HJ for 12,000. The blinds call him.

The flop is T♣ 2♠ 4♣ as the blinds check it back to the raiser who continues firing for 22,000. Vietnam’s Hoang Hai Nam calls from the SB as the BB folds. It is heads up to the that produces the J♦ . Suddenly, Zheng goes all-in and puts the Vietnamese legend in the tank. Hoang squirms in his seat so long that the dealer takes two of his precious Time Bank cards. Hoang ultimately decides to fold, but not before taking a serious dent to his stack which is just barely above the 100,000 mark.

Malaysia’s Heng Kai Perng limps from UTG and all players fold until it gets to Hoang Hai Nam of Vietnam in the BB and he chooses to check his option.

The flop is Q♣ K♦ 8♠ as Hoang checks. Heng leads out for 6,000 and gets called. The turn is the 5♥ and the Vietnamese player checks a second time. Heng makes it heftier as he fires 12,000 and still gets called. The river is the 8♥ as Hoang checks a third time. This time around, the Malaysian opts to check behind.

Hoang flips over 8♦ 7♣ for trips on the river. Heng throws his hand into the muck.

Hoang Hai Nam is in another duel this time with Indonesia’s Jhon Hendri with four community cards already showing in the 7♥ 8♣ 7♠ 3♥ and the pot already at 27,000.

The river is the 9♥ as Hendri checks and Hoang bets 26,000. The Indonesian makes the call.

Hoang tables Q♣ 9♣ for top pair on the river while Hendri shows A♥ 5♥ for a completed backdoor nut flush.

Hendri nears the 200,000 chip mark while the Vietnamese smarts from back-to-back hits.

The actions begins from UTG where a raise to 10,000 I put in. Hoang Hai Nam of Vietnam calls from the D but then former chip-leader Heng Kai Perng of Malaysia goes over the top all-in for his remaining 74,000. The original raiser folds and Hoang makes the call.

Much to the Vietnamese player’s chagrin, Heng tables K♣ K♠ against his T♦ T♠ .

The eventual runout did nothing to help Hoang: 6♣ 5♥ 4♦ A♦ 3♠ as Heng doubles through and Hoang’s stack drops to below 200,000.

The most dangerous man with chips is arguably Hoang Hai Nam of Vietnam and he just got a plenty after calling the all-in 3-bet from Filipino John Clyde Tan for his last 25,500.

Hoang Hai Nam raises from UTG anf gets called by Slaven Popov of Bulgaria in the HJ and fellow Vietnamese player Nguyen Manh Truong in the CO. China’s Liu Xing Jun, however, 3-bets it from the BB to 2,500. Everyone calls.

The flop is 7♣ 8♥ 2♥ and all skip this street. The turn is the J♠ and once again, no action ensues. The river is the Q♦ and after Hoang checks a third time, Popov bets 6,500. No one calls.

The action is folded to the D where Vietnam poker icon Hoang Hai Nam raises to 300 and gets called by fellow Vietnamese players in Quynh Thuy in the SB and Nguyen Duc Thanh in the BB.

The flop is 3♦ A♠ 4♠ as the blinds check it back to Hoang, who continues for 300 anew. Quynh calls but Nguyen raises it to 1,400 and it’s enough to take down the pot.
