Cai stormed up the ranks right at the last deal, and bagged a chart-topping stack of nearly six million to lead the final rounds. Today's Red Dragon Championship Day 3 action has officially wrapped up following just four hours on the floor with the final eight players advancing onto the last stage. Only 24 runners made their way back to the scene, each looking to secure a spot into the final table. China's Jianting Cai, who started the day bottom of the ranks, was off to a great start, having caught a double up right on the first hand, to eventually stack the lead over the remaining eight. Cai delivered the final blow with his pocket kings crushing Cheng Chen just a few deals into the final round. The crucial boost propelled Cai right up the top, ending the day with 5,905,000 (74 BB), joined by fellow Chinese runner Zehao Li with 5,375,000 (67 BB) at the summit of the leaderboard.

Action resumes tomorrow, December 1st, 12 noon, where a winner will lay claim to the KRW 243,800,000 (~USD 174,470) top prize at stake.

Yongbin Wang pushed his last 600,000 in on the button and was called by Ngoc Ha Nguyen on the big blind. In for a flip, Nguyen landed a monster flop 7♣ K♥ K♣ for the advantage and sealed the win as turn 3♥ and river 4♠ hit the felt.

Ngoc Ha Nguyen defended her open and called a 350,000 three bet from Chao Li right behind. On flop 2♦ 9♠ 2♠ , Li continued for 120,000, yet snap folded after Nguyen pulled a check raise to 350,000.

Qidong He open shoved 735,000 in with A♣ J♥ and ran smack into Ngoc Ha Nguyen's A♥ A♠ . No help for He arrived on board 6♦ 3♥ 5♦ 8♠ K♣ , ending his Main Event run entirely.

Ngoc Ha Nguyen moved all-in for 515,000 following an early open, and saw Chi Jen Chen behind push likewise. A classic NLH flip, the runout 3♠ 7♣ K♣ 2♥ A♦ favored the overcards this time around, shipping Nguyen the full double up.

Xianglai Li opened on the button and called off Ngoc Ha Nguyen's 470,000 all-in. Dominated, Li dodged a bullet as the runout 2♠ 2♣ J♣ 5♣ 5♠ ran a split pot to save him from a potential loss.

Red Dragon Championship Day 2 players have been sent off for a 60-minute dinner break, with action resuming at 7:50 pm local time. 43 runners remain in contention for the title, each already guaranteed KRW 5,950,000 (~USD 4,255) in winnings.
