Maruo makes Lee second victim

Level 13: 1,000 / 2,500 ante: 2,500
Tasuko Maruo

In a Blind versus Blind battle, Canada's Thomas Lee sees an opportunity to steal the blinds and ante to keep himself afloat and shoved in the SB. Tasuko Maruo of Japan, however, surmised his opponent was shoving light and made the call.

When the cards were flipped over, it is revealed that Lee holds A 8 and was ahead of Maruo's calling hand of K T .

The flop looked favorable for the Canadian: 2 4 3 . But then the T appeared on the turn and Lee could not catch any of his outs of the river as it came 4 .

Maruo's win knocks Lee out the competition for Day 1A.
