The onset of Level 8 saw a pot that went to a seventh bet all in and a call, Hong Kong's Sandeep Mirchandani and Tasuko Maruo of Japan went to war with both holding a suited Big Slick: Mirchandani with A♦ K♦ while Maruo had A♥ K♥ .

What was supposed to be a routine chop turned out to be a nightmare for Mirchandani as the flop came 4♥ 7♠ 6♥ , giving the Japanese player the nut flush draw.

The agony ended quickly as the turn card was the T♥ and the meaningless river card of the 3♠ made the elimination of Mirchandani official.
