Welo Binks the River
Level 11: 800 / 1,600 ante: 1,600
Jui Tai opened from the cutoff to 3,200 and Norway's Tor Welo shoved for 23,600 from the small blind. When it got back to Tai, he asked for a count, then dropped the call.
Tor Welo: Q♥ J♥
Jun Tai: A♥ 9♦
Welo needed to connect with the board, but it was Tai who kept his lead as the 9♠ 3♦ 8♣ flop gave him a pair of nines. That pair improved to two pair on the A♠ turn, which left Welo drawing to one of the four tens in the deck. Luckily for Welo, the T♦ dropped on the river, which gave him the nuts and doubled up his stack.
