Leblond Catches Some To Stack Up

Level 4: 200 / 400 ante: 400
Benjamin Leblond

Canadian poker pro Benjamin Leblond went on a streak to build his chip stack a little higher.

In a battle of the blinds, both SB Philipp Zukernik and BB Benjamin Leblond agreed on 1,200 a-piece to see an A 8 Q flop. Both checked to see a free 3 on the river. Zukernik led with 2,400 and Leblond called to see a K on the river. Zukernik slowed down and Leblond took a moment before firing 8,500. Zukernik took pause, checked his cards, counted his chips and threw in the call. Leblond flahsed a J T for a straight while Zukernik showed an A before mucking.

On the following hand, 3 players built a pre-flop pot of 3,600 for access to a T Q 8 flop. All three checked down to see a K turn and a 2 river. Benjamin Leblong acted first from the big blind and bet out 800. Hao-Shan Huang at the cut-off folded, but Joven Huerto on the button called. Leblond showed a 5 3 for a flush. Huerto confessed "straight no good" and mucked his cards.

Benjamin Leblond already cashed in two events in this series, including a 4th place finish on the ₱ 35,000 No Limit Hold'em - Turbo High Roller (Event #8).
