Day 4
Shirazawa: Double Then Done

Kazuhiro Shirazawa doubled his 360,000 stack with his 9♦ 9♣ vs the A♣ Q♦ of Soo Jo Kim. Shirazawa's nines flopped a set on the K♠ 2♦ 9♥ flop and went on to win after the 5♠ turn left Kim drawing dead. The 2♥ river was just a formality, improving Shirazawa to a boat.
Two hands later, Min Sung Lee raised to 120,000 and was called by Sung Jin Yun. From the small blind, Shirazawa pushed all-in for 770,000. Yun was the lone caller for a showdown.
Kazuhiro Shirazawa: 8♣ 8♦
Sung Jin Yun: Q♥ Q♣
Yun remained ahead on the flop of 3♥ 9♥ 5♠ and kept the lead on the 4♦ turn and 9♥ river to end the APT Main Event journey of Shirazawa.
Play was paused after Shirazawa's elimination at the 25th place to re-draw seats for the last 3 tables.

Shirazawa Survives with Two Pair
Short-stacked Kazuhiro Shirazawa moved all-in for around 150,000, and Hisashi Yamanouchi, on the button, re-raised to 250,000 to isolate him. With everyone else folding, the two went heads-up.
Kazuhiro Shirazawa: K♥ 9♥
Hisashi Yamanouchi: A♠ Q♥
To Shirazawa’s delight, the dealer revealed a flop of 9♠ K♦ 3♣ , giving him two pair. The board completed with 3♥ and T♠ , allowing Shirazawa to double up and stay in the tournament.

Lubas on the Right Side of a Cooler

Gerardo Lubas made it 65,000 from early position and Mike Takayama called from the cutoff. Kazuhiro Shirazawa then three-bet to 265,000 from the small blind. Lubas then shoved for almost 500,000, Takayama folded, and Shirazawa called.
Gerardo Lubas: K♥ K♣
Kazuhiro Shirazawa: Q♦ Q♣
Lubas was the at-risk player, but he held a huge lead with an overpair. The board of T♠ 7♣ 5♥ 3♥ J♥ never brought an upset, and Lubas doubled up.

Kawaguchi Takes Big Pot Near Day’s End
Jae Wook Shin opened for 60,000 and got calls from Akihiro Kawaguchi in the hijack and Yuji Yaginuma in the small blind. But Kazuhiro Shirazawa had other plans, putting in a three-bet to 200,000. Everyone folded except Kawaguchi, who called to see the flop.
The dealer revealed 4♦ 2♠ 5♦ , and Kawaguchi took the lead with a 100,000 bet, which Shirazawa called. Both players checked the K♦ on the turn.
On the 9♣ river, Shirazawa checked, and Kawaguchi fired a final bet of 175,000. After a lengthy pause, Shirazawa folded, allowing Kawaguchi to scoop the pot and build his stack as the day drew to a close.

Shirazawa Cracks Erquiaga's Cowboys

Kinam Kim raised to 6,500 from middle position and Kazuhiro Shirazawa shoved from the hijack for 66,000. David Erquiaga called from the big blind, and Kim folded.
Kazuhiro Shirazawa: A♠ J♦
David Erquiaga: K♦ K♣
Shirazawa needed to connect with the board if he wanted to survive, and did just that on the A♥ T♣ 9♠ flop. The T♥ turn brought no help to Erquiaga, and neither did the 3♦ river, which meant Shirazawa doubled up

Tominaga Hurts Shirazawa

Kazuhiro Shirazawa made a raise to 1,200 from middle-position. Misaka Tominaga re-raised to 3,500 from the small blind, and Wonchul Bae & Shirazawa all met the fees to open a flop of J♥ 7♦ T♥ .
Shirazawa led with 6,000. Bae got out of the way, but Shirazawa stuck around to see an A♣ on the turn. Tominaga bet out 15,000 and Shirazawa tanked, re-assessed his chips, and then made the call. On the river, Tominaga pushed all-in and Shirazawa snap-folded.

Kazuhiro Shirazawa Came to Battle
The Japanese Kazuhiro Shirazawa, who could be seen in multiple pots in the first level, opened from the cut-off to 300, and got three-bet to 1,000 by his fellow countrymen Hironobu Hasegawa in the small-blind. Shirazawa responded with a four-bet to 2,200. The small-blind called and they went off to see a flop.
This came down A♠ T♥ 5♣ and Shirazawa bet 1,500, which got called once more. On the 9♥ turn Shirazawa continued to bet, this time 7,000, which was enough to make Hasegawa fold after he thought about it for a couple minutes.
