WSOP Main Event Champion Sinclair Clashes With Gopez

Jack Sinclair, who won the WSOP Europe Main Event back in 2018, just clashed in a pot with Edilberto Gopez, who finished second in the Mystery Bounty Hunter event here in Manila just yesterday.
On a flop of Q♦ A♠ 8♠ with around 7,000 in the pot, Sinclair in the big blind check-called a bet of 3,000 from Gopez to see the A♥ pair the board on the turn, where Sinclair went into check-call mode again when Gopez fired 10,000.
A K♦ completed the runout, and both players quickly checked it down with Sinclair showing a pair of queens with Q♥ 5♥ , but Gopez had the winner with trip aces holding A♦ 9♣ for the pot.
It's been a great day for Gopez, who is amongst the chip leaders with a stack of around 240,000 as the last level of the night closes in. Sinclair on the other hand, dropped below starting stack and has close to 35,000 now.
